Big Day Tomorrow For Ultimate Bunks.
I've been thinking about putting these on my trailer. Do they really help with loading and unloading? My boat is a bear to get on and off.

Throttle cable length
Way2slow, if the cable is 2 feet longer than it needs to be for the control box, in your opinion will that work or is it to long?

Throttle cable length
Thanks for that info.

Throttle cable length
I can't find any extra cables that might have been left from the original install. Back to, will the cable from the Hot Foot work?
-
Throttle cable length
That would be great. I'll check it out.

Throttle cable length
I have a Hot Foot on my boat. Call me crazy, but I do not like it. I'm old school and feel much more comfortable with the traditional hand control. Can I use the same cable and just reattach it to the control box. The cable will be about 2 feet longer than it should, but it would be pretty easy to use the same one.

Low voltage on Ultrex
Still waiting on a response from Minn Kota. Unbelievable! Russell Marine says there's nothing they can do to replace it. They say Minn Kota has a procedure that has to go through warranty shops. I found a shop that will look at it within a week. If that's the way Minn Kota handles situations like this, then ok, but if it needs a part the repair shop can't get than I'll have a real problem with their "procedure"! I totally understand we are in different times and things don't go a smooth as they might normally, but they won't even respond.

Yeah, I already gave it to a high school kid in town here that needed one.

Low voltage on Ultrex
Bought it from Russell Marine Products and they say they can't do anything, I have to go through Minn Kota. Unbelievable, the thing hasn't been in the water 5 minutes.

Low voltage on Ultrex
Got in touch with Minn Kota customer service this morning and explained the situation. I also told them I'm in a tournament in less than 2 weeks. The nice young lady told me it sounded like a circuit board in the pedal. She said it should be a quick fix and have me the warranty station in my area to get it repaired. The repair place told me the repair wouldn't take any time, but they are out 3 months and that's only if they can get the part. Unbelievable! I then sent an email to Minn Kota explaining my situation and dismay, but crickets so far. If I was fishing tournaments with a Minn Kota shirt I would think they would take care of this immediately! Really disappointed with Minn Kota.

Low voltage on Ultrex
Ok boys, here's what I have today. Checked the batteries with another voltmeter and low and behold, all four batteries are at 12.9 and show fully charged. So my original problem was I couldn't get the foot pedal on my Ultrex to respond and Minn Kota said it sounded like a voltage problem. Hence, the fiasco began. So, with the batteries full I still can't get the foot control to work. I did try the remote and it works. Has anyone else has foot control problems with the Ultrex and if so, what was the remedy? And, thanks again for all the help yesterday.

Low voltage on Ultrex
Yes, all 4 are set for AGM. I have to check with a new voltmeter tomorrow and then if that's not the problem I'll have to check the charger. Thanks for all your help guys. I'll keep you posted as to what I find.

Low voltage on Ultrex
That's what I'm wondering. I've disconnected all the batteries for the night and I'm going to try and get another voltmeter tomorrow. I hope that's what it is because I'm really scrambling.

Low voltage on Ultrex
I'm puzzled because the 4th battery, my starter, is the same exact battery and it is also reading the same 10.63. Because that battery is not part of the 36 volt circuit. I'm wondering if it is indeed a charger problem. I'm at a loss as to what to do.

Low voltage on Ultrex
I just assumed they were fully charged. Bad assumption. I also just installed a new Minn Kota 4 bank Precision charger, but never plugged it in, because I assumed... dummy! Ok, I charged the batteries overnight and I'm getting 10.63 amps on each of the three batteries. 31.7 both front and back. The charger is saying they're full. Any videos I've seen say I should have 36 volts +/-. Any ideas?

Low voltage on Ultrex
I really don't know anything about how batteries work. I hate to admit that, but it's true. I know everything is hooked up correctly and it's wired with 6 ga. wire as Minn Kota recommends. Here is my dumb question. Do the batteries lose voltage as they are used up? If that's the case, will the trolling motor not work once it gets to 29 volts like I have now? I'm sorry for the ignorance here, but I just don't understand electronics.

Low voltage on Ultrex
I purchased a new Ultrex and 3 Duracell AGM group 31 batteries. I rewired the boat to Minn Kota specs and everything seems correct. I put the boat in the water only to find out that I can't the foot pedal to do anything. When I switch the motor on, I have power there. I emailed Russell Marine Products, where I purchased it, and they said it sounded like a voltage problem. I put a volt meter on the leads up front to the motor and I'm only getting 29.2 volts. I then checked the leads coming off the batteries on the back and got the same reading, so I'm not losing anything from back to front. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?

Battery charging
Good, because I heard I was supposed to disconnect it, but I have no way of doing that as it is set up. I thought if I needed to, I could just manually pop my breaker. I have a Minn Kota 60 amp, that doesn't have anyway to pop it manually. Thanks

Battery charging
Just wondering what you guys are doing. When charging from an onboard charger, do I have to disconnect my trolling motor before charging?

Glitter for gelcoat
Also guys, is gelcoat, gelcoat? I've tried to find out if Ranger has "Ranger brand" gelcoat. I can't find anything. How do I know what is a quality product?
-
Glitter for gelcoat
I finally pulled the trigger on a boat and I couldn't be happier. It's a '93 Ranger 372V in great shape. However, being almost 30 years old the gelcoat does have a couple areas that need repair. Does anyone know where I could possibly get the colors of glitter I need for the repair?

Electronics
Come on guys, I need some serious opinions!

Electronics
I think so. I'm zeroing in on a '97 Ranger r72 Sport.
