Skirt material size question
I just heard back from Fishing Skirts, and theirs are 5 3/4"×3/4". Same as Living Rubber silicone. I was wrong. Thanks for your help.

Skirt material size question
These are not the fine cuts. I made sure not to order those. I guess I just thought they'd be wider.

Skirt material size question
Hey guys, I just ordered some silicone material from Living Rubber because Fishing Skirtst seems to be out of many colors. I am a little surprised at the size of these tabs. These tabs are 3/4" wide. When I see these guys on YouTube making skirts they seem wider than that. They talk about using full tabs and half tabs. I might be wrong, but are these smaller than other manufacturers tabs?

Line loose on spool
I just had a guy put line on my reels and I'm having a problem with one of them. It's a light spinning reel that I had 10lb braid put on. When I was setting it up, no matter how much I tightened down the drag I couldn't stop.line from coming off. I took the reel apart and the drag worked fine. Then I noticed the line was spinning off the spool.when I would pull on it. I thought maybe the spool was broke. I took all the line off and the spool is fine. Why would that be happening and what is the solution?

Suppliers
I wanted to order a spinner skirt kit and a jig skirt kit from fishingskirts.com, but they're out of stock and they don't have an answer for when they will be back in stock. Am I better off just ordering the separate parts and building my own inventory? Any recommendations on colors?

Boat step mat
I used GatorSkinz, and it worked great.

Trolling motor orientation
Seems to be just a matter of preference. I see reasoning for both ways. Interesting!

Trolling motor orientation
Probably a weird question, but... Is there a correct way to stow your trolling motor? I've seen some guys have the propeller to the outside of the boat and others to the inside. Since I've been wondering about this, I've seen far more to the inside. So, is this personal preference or is there a correct way?

Stacked terminals on battery
Can more than 1 wire be connected into a single ring terminal?

Stacked terminals on battery
Most of my electronics are run through my fuse box. I've read that it's best to run the wiring for locators, graphs and such, fused and hooked up directly to the battery. If that's not true, I'm sure I'll be corrected. But, if true, how do you guys stack the ring terminals to the post. I don't have my batteries in a battery box, so my terminals have to have the post covers on them. With the main leads, 3 locators, and the charger all needing to be hooked up, I'm finding it difficult to getting them neatly on the posts. If I alternate the wires (one right, one left and so on) they don't fit under the covers. Am I missing something? What are you guys doing?

Electrical redo
Wanting to do a complete rewiring of my '93 boat. Are there any good resources for doing research on how to do this? Books, articles, videos or anything else that would help. I am not an electrician, but I know if I had direction, I can do this. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey guys, I'm always looking to make my boat more user friendly. What have you done to put your own touch it? No fix/upgrade is to small or large.

Hey guys, I'm new to this section of the forum. I'm not ready yet to making tackle from scratch. What I do want to do is, make my own skirts for jigs, chatterbaits, and spinnerbaits. What is your experience with who has the best selection colors and components. Please be specific if you can. If this has been already been discussed, I'm sorry for the repeat.

Rod length
So, what I have with my old stuff that is still in good shape is: 2-Quantum' 6" BC Med 10-20lbs 3/8-1oz Quantum Pro 2 5:1 1- Shimano 7' 6" BC Heavy 17-40lbs 3/8-2oz Shimano 5:1 Bantam Black Magnum I'm looking to purchase 4 Dobyns Fury rods. 1-FR702SF Medium/Light Fast Spinning for my lighter stuff 1-FR705CB Medium/Heavy Mod Fast for my crankbaits 2-FR703C Medium/Heavy Fast for general purpose for spinnerbaits, dragging jigs, texas rigs, etc. If I get a faster reel for the Shimano rod, that should be good for frogging, pitching, and flippin. Where, if anywhere would the 2 Quantum 5'6" rods for in? Please give me your thoughts and any changes you would make.

Rod length
I'm loving all the responses. This is precisely what I was hoping. Lots of different theories and personal experiences. Keep em coming! I haven't seriously fished in 30 years. I had and still have, three (exactly the same) 5 1/2' rods that I would rig with different lures. Boy, how things have changed!

Rod length
I know there has been a lot of talk about what is everyone's favorite rod. Action, length. My question is, the popular thought now seems to be 7' rod pretty much for an all around rod no matter what the action. Maybe I'm reading it wrong, and if so I'm sure you'll let me know. But if I'm not, just what advantage does the 7' give you over the 6 1/2?

Grease fittings
Does anyone out there know how many grease fittings there are on a '92 Mercury XR6 150 hp. I see 3, but I want to make sure I'm not missing any.

Ventilation?
I thought once a hub was spun it was always spun. No? Does it just slip from time to time. Again, unless there is something wrong with the trim that is not allowing it to be trimmed all the way down, I trimmed it until it stopped and never touched it when the cavitation began. Now, whether it's set up error or not is what I'm trying to figure out.

Ventilation?
I don't know what you guys are talking about with operator error. I start out with it trimmed all the way down and I'm not touching the trim when it starts to cavitate. I've driven plenty of small boats. It's not operator error.
