Skirt material size question

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I just ordered some silicone material from Living Rubber because Fishing Skirtst seems to be out of many colors. I am a little surprised at the size of these tabs. These tabs are 3/4" wide. When I see these guys on YouTube making skirts they seem wider than that. They talk about using full tabs and half tabs. I might be wrong, but are these smaller than other manufacturers tabs?

Sounds about right. Never used living rubber but the silicone skirts are the same size. I use 2 and a half tabs for a jig, 2 tabs for spinners and buzz baits.

I would have to measure the width to see what they are? You may have bought "fine cut" by accident .

Living rubber co. sells fine cut (frogs hair) silicone tabs. They have 20 strands just like a full tab but they aren't as wide. The thinner strands make it look like a regular tab that was cut in half.

These are not the fine cuts. I made sure not to order those. I guess I just thought they'd be wider.

I just heard back from Fishing Skirts, and theirs are 5 3/4"×3/4". Same as Living Rubber silicone. I was wrong. Thanks for your help.
