Boat step mat

Featured Replies

I’m upgrading my TM from a 55# MK Terrova to an 82# MG Tour Pro on my Aluminum Triton bass boat.

I saw online, awhile ago, that someone used adhesive backed step mat under the new TM to cover old TM mounting holes. This mat was able to be cut to fit boat mounting surface.

Anyone have a link to a product like this.??

I used GatorSkinz, and it worked great.

X2 on the GatorSkinz.  I just had an Ultrex installed at a Minn Kota service center and the tech said he needed to redrill the holes because Ranger install the Fourtrex with the head sticking out over the gunwhale.  He put the Ultrex in at a new angle and wanted permission to put GatorSkinz under the Ultrex to cover an old hole and some scratches from the Fourtrex just as the OP said.  Excellent decision.  Looks spectacular.  And the Ultrex is completely inside the rub rail when stowed.  Great work.

When I upgraded my TM I bought large diameter vinyl chair skids at Lowes, cut off the mounting spike and cemented them over the old holes with marine adhesive.  Four years now and going strong.

Received the gator skins in black with pebble finish. It is perfect for this job. 3m adhesive, about 1/16 inch thick. And trim able. $27 with shipping
