Hey guys. I went fishing the other day and caught 3 bass and lost 2 near the shore. I caught them extremely shallow. Less than a foot of water. I was wondering if they were eating the spawning bluegill or shad. Or were they just chilling in the shallows. Btw these bass are postspawn. All skinny thin fish. Still fun. These are some dumb questions but I just really wonder what they were doing. Btw I caught them on orange and brown jigs with craw trailer. Hanan Thanks for all the info
  7. Thank you. Will keep in mind
  8. Hey guys. During the postspawn, do the bass mainly eat bluegill that are spawning or shad. In my lake there are threadfin shad and I googled when they spawn and is mostly form April to August. But also I went to the lake yesterday and I saw bluegill spawning. Don't know which one to imitate. Hanan Thanks for all the info

Hey guys. Im kinda confused on what to throw for the bass during the postspawn. I know that the females go deep. Don't know about the males. I think jig would be the best bet for females. What do the males do and how do I catch? Hanan Thanks for all the info
  10. Thanks for the thread. Quick question. I fish a clear water lake. I fish 20 feet. Does anyone think a green and red and orange color jig will work. I heard that there is no such thing as a bass not being able to see it's food in any color water.
  11. Hey guys. I have a few questions on how to fish a jig. I have a kayak and go out pretty often. In so cal the postspawn came so I thought of fishing some jigs. Only thing I know is black and blue for muddy water and greens and natural colors in clear water. I don't know how to fish a jig or where. There is a lot of deep water. I fish fish around 20 feet or less. Any tips on how to fish? Hanan Thanks for all the info

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone has fished with the double fluke rig, or donkey rig. I thought it might be a good bait in the morning especially during the post spawn here. Also this lake is very pressured and I don't see anyone fish this rig. Any tips or tricks to fish this rig. Hanan Thanks for all the info

Hey guys. I got a couple of scents and cured for my plastics and lures. I was wondering if decent plays a big role in bass fishing. Maybe it works in a certain season or time? I don't really know but I just put some on for extra measures. Hanan Thanks for all the info
  14. Thank you I will try that next time
  15. Hey guys. I was wondering what I could do to my baitcaster. Im pretty good now at casting where the bait falls slowly. Is there another level or adjustment I could do just for extra distance and accuracy. Hanan Thanks for any info
