Maine just closed for the summer
I have a buddy who lives and NH and we like this guide out of Maine. Had to cancel our whole trip. We’re looking into maybe fishing out of NH. He’s going to let me know what the deal is. Hoping they don’t have a similar rule to Maine’s. I should also add I was going to drive up with minimal stops by packing things to eat and such. The wife and I have been working from home since March and so has friend. We’ve taken this all pretty seriously. At the same time we had the trip planned for awhile and it was something we were hoping we could still do.

Deepcreek MD
My in laws have a house there and own a boat. We’ve gone out fishing a few times over the years with spotty luck. Just looking for a few pointers/tips. What type/pattern artificials, bait in general, and things like that. I also fish the bank, dock, and have go out on the kayak.

Versatile rod and and reel combo
Yea spinning is what I typically do I have a bait caster but need to work on it a little more. Appreciate your responses . Sounds like I definitely need to separate set ups.

Favorite squarebill and why?!
I started collecting these recently myself I’ve been getting into a lot of the craw Color variations that bomber has. Also got a rattling one from strike king. Hoping to have some luck with them.

Versatile rod and and reel combo
Nothing super high end. Just decent. Somewhere around the $100 - $200 range depending if ended up getting two different rods and reels. As I type this I’m almost thinking having two separate set ups would be nicer, because I’d probably use different line.

Versatile rod and and reel combo
Hi everyone. Just looking for some input on rod and reel combos. Is it possible to get something versatile enough to fish for bass and occasionally for pike or musky? I typically throw crankbaits, swimbaits, soft plastics, etc. and occasionally live bait. I probably wouldn’t ever be throwing anything giant or super heavy. I’m currently using medium Shakespeare gx2 medium combo but looking to upgrade a little maybe and get faster action. I like the rod ok but the heavier version only comes in a one piece rod and I’m sure there’s better stuff out there. I prefer a two piece 6’6 rod for easier transport and bank fishing under trees and such. Not sure if I should just buy two different ones. Maybe one medium and the other medium heavy with two different reels. I don’t want it to be over kill for bass but also don’t want to regret not being able to get done if I get hooked up with something bigger. I’ve always fished pretty casually up until recently and would like to get a little more serious. I’m not very knowledgeable in regards to reels either. I was looking at the pflueger President combos or the Abu Garcia vengeance but not sure what kind of reel to pair it with. Thanks in advance fine your input.
