My local reservoir was partially drained for several years where many trees grew in the empty basin. Since it was refilled 2 years ago these trees have remained and are alive. They shade the water under them and I know bass must be hiding in them during the day, but I’m not sure how to fish them as the branches are rather dense and anything I toss (even a weedless senko) in ends up incredibly tangled above or below water. I fish from a kayaks. It’s a reservoir in the northeast. These areas are between 10-20ft deep and the water has about 1-2 feet of visibility. I have limited success fishing shady spots and less densely weeded areas with a Texas rig or topwater popper. Would really appreciate any recommendations on how to approach this issue.
