  1. You fish them either YOYOing them, ripping them, stroking them like a reg. jig. Or you can slow roll or burn them like a spinnerbait. A lot of time the only way you know you have a fish is because you lose the feel of the blade thumping, or weight on the line. If you ever stop feeling the blade thumping set the hook. Some times grass will make it feel this way but here again, setting the hook, will rip the lure out of the grass and a lot of time trigger a strike if it wasn't a fish. Its a fun lure to play with and you can change the profile in so many ways with different trailers and plasics. Fedxpress
  2. The skirt colors are 410,106 and not sure about the light green but Im thinging 712. all from barlows. Fedxpress
  3. I keep mine over 2/3 full that way it don't rust. I just put a screw driver in the end of the plug and grind it back and forth. This seems to keep it from dripping I have never cleaned mine. Had It over a year must have poured around 1000 to 1500 jigs. Fedxpress
  4. You tie the line on the snap. If the lure is rolling it want act right. I have heard that some of the baits will do this right out of the package. That is why I fish the Southern Shaker. They are well balanced and are guaranteed not to roll. Here is there web site. http://www.tccustombaits.com/ Good luck Fedxpress
  5. You can slow roll them, burn them, and Pump or stroke them. I like fishing a 1/4 once around and thru the grass. the 3/8 down to around 6 to 10 ft. Good luck with them Fedxpress

  13. I use to buy it then the discontinue it. I hopefully will have the rubber to make them within a day or so. Seems to be the only problem with some retailer lately you order 100 of something and go pack to get more and they are out off them. Fedxpress

  15. looks like you should just use a salt shaker. So does the fluid bath just keep the paint soft like when you shake the bottle, or does it mist it up in the air inside the tube. Thanks Fedxpress
  16. Just wondering how many folks have the 1000 or 1000mg. Seems most folks don't want to clean and repair them because they can't get parts. I was thinking about maybe specializing in cleaning and repairing them. Just not sure how many folks out there have them. Fedxpress
  17. Go to Lowes and get a heat gun 1000 deg one for about 25 dollars it works great. hold the jig with a clamp(roach clip is what they called them in school not sure what the medical name is) this locks on to it and you want drop it. I heat the jig dip it in the powder and then reheat it with the heat gun to melt the powder. Then you can stick them in the stove later. fedxpress
  18. There a great lure very versatile. Try slow rollin them, try burning them and pumping them off the bottom or stroking them. My son wears them out fishing them on a Zebco. Fedxpress

Darnit, I have been cutting them before putting the collar on them. That looks way to easy. LOL Fedxpress
  20. I'm with Munkin here!!!! All fish don't spawn at the same-time. Fish for the ones moving up or shallow still looking. If I was fishing Pro fishing a Pro Tourney for a bunch of money I might would have to drag one off. The majority of the eggs want survive because of natural predators lets give them a chance so they will grow up for us to catch one day. Fedxpress
  21. I would start with spending half that then see what you want to add. Get worms black/blueish, watermellon, punkinseed, redshad. pic three colors. 3.0worm hooks Gamakatsu. some 1/8 3/8 and 1/2 bullet weights. Some jigs and trailers pick Black/Blue and a brownish color. Get 6 bandit crank baits 3 200 and 3 300. A few buzz baits. Then go fishing. Everytime you pass a fishing shop drop another 20.00 until the boat is too heavy to get on pad. Fedxpress
  22. Thanks yea its a tough call. If you can match them up and get me the tags that would be great. Im buying in bulk but when you run out and someone wants what they had before and it doesn't match it could be a problem so I'm trying to make all the skirts myself. Let me know when you find them out, thanks Fedxpress
  23. Ohh now I know, I thought they just called it skirt rubber. I have some coming to make some skirts but only about 5 colors. You have them all. I got some skirts from Barlows and then when I went to reorder them they Discountiuned them. Can you tell me what colors strands these are. PLEASE. . Thanks. Fedxpress
  24. I make my own here is a pic I pour them using a Gamakatsu hook, in aDo-Its Arkey flat eye jig Mold from Barlow's Tackle. Use the metal blank that is comes with and cut it off so that it even with the head cavity. When you pour the head the lead will just fill the cavity and leave it smooth on top. paint it the color of your choice with powdercoat paint add the blade with a split ring and snap. add a skirt and there you have it. I would use a good split ring since this is all that holds the fish to your line. I use 30 lb test. to keep it running and not rolling bend the tip of the blade back a little. I use galvanized steel and I had a friend build be a punch to make the blades. Barlow and Janscraft sell the stainless steel ones that should be just fine. Barlows also seel Ric Clunn spinner bait trailers that work GREAT!!!!!! If you want to save all that trouble I sell them for 4.00 each shipped to your door. Fedxpress
  25. Whats a skirt tab I use a skirt collar, is that the same thing. Fedxpress
