  1. There was no heat involved, all other plastics were fine except the ones touching. This all took place in a cool garage over one night. i feel like It was definitely some sort of chemical reaction going on. only the items touching the new worm melted. there was a long worm shaped groove carved through all other plastics it touched and the new worm wasn't melted or affected at all, only the items it contacted had melted grooves in them and the plastic was in a jelly slime state and wouldn't harded back up.
  2. I had a spot in my box where I would put used soft plastics until I finally got around to packaging them back up nicely. I had a few different types of soft plastic worms and what not in the same slot for a while and they were fine. Then I added a new worm and the next day they melted. I also had this happen with a spinner willow leaf touching a plastic band holding a jig skirt in place. It was a color coated willow leaf that was chipped a little and left a puddle of red from the willow and melted plastic from the band. Both these issues where in thier own water tight 3700 cases. I also just bought a new frog that warns it will melt anything in the same box if left. I store this in a side pocket, but wondering if it would need to touch other plastics or just being open near other plastics could cause melting. Not worried this was the issue stated above, but wondering how this whole melting process works. Anyone have some input on why they melt or guide of what not to mix? I'd like to understand a bit more on why they melt and how close these plastics can be to others in the same 3700 box.
  3. I enjoy the vega frogs.. pop well, walk nice and top quality. I dont get any water in mine at all, its nice to not have to squeeze it out every 5 casts like other frogs I own.. only had them a week though.. 6th sense is top quality and a great price. I have bought too much from them lately..
  4. I hate to say this, but my kids. They always want to go fishing with me, but after 20 minutes of me un tangling thier lines they are done and then they start screaming tag your it, throwing rocks, digging in the goose poop mud, asking to pet and release every fish I catch and then say they want to go home the rest of the time.. ugh.. its hard to say no because I always hope they will catch the big one and remember the "good times" fishing with dad. And trashhh.. lazy jerks. Its always broken glass bottles and worm containers..
  5. I just got a few bags of chiggers craws off Amazon..
  6. I bought the regal xt and after reading more about it I'm happy I did. I'm not big on spinning reels, so this is my first decent one. My other spinning reel is a shimano IX2000rc, so this should feel amazing. Lol..
  7. A few people said u40 makes the cork hard as a rock and not feel good. Is this true? I don't want to screw up my handle. A few people said u40 makes the cork hard as a rock and not feel good. Is this true? I don't want to screw up my handle. does u40 make the handle hard? Some people in the reviews said thier handles were hard as a rock and didn't like it?
  8. kinda like a little dropshot rig?
  9. Myself, I like lures. But when I'm in the shop, everyone that comes in gets live bait. I'm there for about an hour looking through lures and probably 20 people come in and all get live bait and leave. I always think I'm the dummy and doing it wrong. Lol.
  10. How many of you use snap swivels or clips clasps whatever you wanna call them for the ease of bait changing? Do you feel like it causes less bites or negative effects on the baits action? I'm a bait changer kinda guy and hate tying lures on all the time so I've been using swivel clips lately, but wondering if you long time pros feel it negatively affects how many bites you get using them. I always viewed them as a beginner item and not to use once you gets some knot skills, but maybe I'm wrong?
  11. Hello all, figured I'd throw a post out. My name is Ryan, I've fished on and off for many many years, but mostly just using whatever my dad passed down to me. I never really learned what rods went with what lures and why, but just fished what I thought would work and had fun.. But lately I've started to learn a bit more about everything and that's what brought me here.
