Are yours JDM or USDM? 100% a tolerance thing, was wondering if it’s designed or a defect. These reels keep the drag at I’d say 60% engagement even with the drag star backed all the way off. How are you turning the handle with the thumbar engaged? That freezes the handle and puts the spool free. Are yours JDM or USDM?

I recently received two 2020 Mets and noticed that I’m unable to fully back off the drag on either. Is this normal for this model ?? because on every other shimano reel I have can back the drag off to the point where the handle turns without the spool spinning.
