  1. I appreciate the offer, but I actually ended up getting a DX703C at a pretty significant discount. Thanks for all of the information and help, hopefully I will be satisfied with it.
  2. That was my number one choice, but the dobyn warranty and replacement plan is pretty impressive. Have you used both? Thank you I appreciate the recommendation. Have you used the Dobyns as well? That would be a good buy, but I am too paranoid about it getting broke in the mail. How does the champion hp compare to the xtasy?
  3. I appreciate that. I've read good things about their balance. I'm leaning towards a Champion at the moment. Any idea if they're going to go on sale in the very near future? I appreciate the feedback. I will probably be putting my tatula elite on this rod. I primarily used braid to flourocarbon leader. I also mostly use tungsten jigs and bullet weights. I like the warranty policy of Dobyns. Which ALX do you prefer? How is their warranty process?
  4. Exactly. I want to try the adrena because of the sensitivity everyone is talking about, but that Dobyns warranty looks like the best in the business. How's the sensitivity and balance on the champions? I'll primarily be throwing finesse jigs and light T-rigs.
  5. Thanks for the feedback. How is the balance? I hear they're pretty good in that department. What were you fishing with before if you don't mind me asking.
  6. In need of a rod for lighter bottom contact applications (3/16- 3/8). I had sold myself on a St.Croix legend tournament. But after more reading I'm also considering The Dobyns Champion Extreme HP and the Poison Adrena. Which would you choose and why?
  7. Casting I greatly appreciate that breakdown. I prefer a more moderate tip with the lighter wire hooks. I feel like I get better penetration and keep them pinned a little better. Thanks for the reply.
  8. I am purchasing a rod that will pretty much only be used for light wire football/finesse jigs (3/16-3/8). I have decided on the St. Croix Legend tournament. I prefer a slightly more moderate action for this application. Having no previous experience with St. Croix I am trying to decide if I should get a fast or moderate fast action in this line up.
  9. What is your favorite silent squarebill, and wakebait? I've recently started fishing a small pond close to my house.( so I can get in an hour or 2 after work) This po d is EXTREMELY pressure. The fish wont touch a bait with rattles, but I've found they will take a silent squarebill pretty regularly. Any recommendations are welcome and appreciated.
  10. Grande Bass Air tail wiggler
  11. I can't say I'd prefer it, because I've never experienced the feel, but definitely looks like it would be much more comfortable for line holding. I appreciate you pointing that out. What other rods can you recommend with this design? How do you go about getting a rod built?
  12. Thanks for the suggestion. You sold me on it. The price is right, it looks good, and I'm already a Lew's fan. I'm going to get one of these, and one of another brand ( undecided) and see how they compare.
  13. Nice. Out of those which would you say is the best for jigs and t-rigs?
  14. Which models have you handled? I like Lew's. I've been using them exclusively for years. Just lower end like Mach 2 and crush.
  15. Now that is a thorough answer. Thank you sir!! Looks like there is quite a few Megabass fans. You say the taper is unique. How so?
