  1. Just wanted to thank you all for your input and let you know I ended up with 2, of course. I got a Curado K, and a Curado MGL 70. Hope to get out with them soon, and I would be glad to offer my thoughts when I do, if it would help anyone. I am still messing around with the setups, but for now it will probably be the Curado K on an Expride and the MGL 70 on an Adrena. Thanks again for those of you that offered your thoughts, I appreciate it.
  2. Thanks for this. I handled one a few weeks ago and was impressed by how light they were. Sucks about the guides!
  3. Good for you. I think they a fine rod, but I just cant offer much without fishing them. I bought a couple of the Kage's (7 3 MH), too, but havent fished them either. If I can ever find time to get on the water, I hope I can provide some input. Man you nailed it. I called, messaged and visited several shops and very, very few of them could adequately describe the differences in these rods. I just gave up and decided to take a gamble and buy them.
  4. The Rebellions rods are very tough to get opinions on. I do not have the rod you mention, but I have a 6 10 MH and 7 M glass. I have not fished them yet, so I cant add much here either. They are very light, I will say that.
  5. Thank you. Thank you. I am very interested in the Curado 70 MGL, which a couple of folks suggested. But, I had a retailer suggest the Chronarch MGL. Retail wise, it looks to be about $50 more than the Curado MGL. What does the Chronarch give you for the extra $?
  6. Well I certainly appreciate you taking the time to offer all of this. Very helpful. And yes, I did not give much direction on the use for it because I havent even decided yet. But, it will most likely be used for jigs/t rigs. Thanks again.
  7. Do you have a suggestion on which Shimano reel?
  8. I would appreciate any thoughts, opinions and suggestions on a Shimano baitcaster. I have narrowed it down somewhat, but I have not owned a Shimano in many years. This is not a Shimano vs Daiwa vs Lews. I own some Lews and Daiwas and want to try a Shimano. I just would like to hear some suggestions on which Shimano you guys like. I prefer to be in the $200 to $250 range, but can move up or slide down for the right reasons. Can someone help me understand the different models (Curado, Chronarch, etc) and what the advantages/disadvantages are? Weight, durability, casting range, DC feature?
  9. Thanks for this, been eyeing one but havent put my paws on them. Do you happen to have an Expert? I would be curious to know how it stacks up to that rod.
  10. I know thats not black, white and char Megabass spinnerbaits! Havent been able to find them anywhere.
  11. The 7 2 Heavy. I would prefer the 7 3 MH, but its 'regular-fast.' Meant to add I did handle both Poison Adrena and BLX this weekend. The PA is super light. Feels awesome.
  12. I am looking for the same. The Poison Adrena is high on my list. I have also looked at the Daiwa BLX.

  14. No sir, this is for the brand new re-released models. Like I said, I dont know for sure, just what I have seen online. Drives me crazy how difficult it is to get info on rods.
  15. Who said they weigh more? I have no idea, I didnt own the older version, and dont have a new one, but this is from Megabass... Featuring upgraded blank material, construction, and Micro Pitch Taping, each LEVANTE is now lighter, more sensitive, and more responsive. Lighter blanks allow for a refinement in balance points, bringing each model closer to its target application. Finished with Fuji® Stainless Steel Alconite guides, custom metal accents, Megabass original Spiral Architect reel seat, hook keeper, and a premium color-shifting finish, the LEVANTE is sure to delight old and new Megabass enthusiasts alike.
  16. Yeah, my first Megabass arrived today (a Brigand). I can see this getting ugly...
  17. Thank you for this. Picked up the jig box for $17.28.
  18. I use the Avid X 7' MLF and love it. I do not have any of the other rods you mention, so I cant offer a comparison.
