my favorite lure/combo, black and blue jig with green pumpkin trailer 🤘

i just saw another guy in a facebook bass fishing group post up about catching a blue pickerel a few weeks ago. so crazy

Are you t-rigging them or wacky? My buddy has been absolutely killing them on a wacky rig for the last week or 2

Hit up furnace pond last tuesday, managed the little one? and the larger one (2.3lbs) on the same spinnerbait. while the other 2 dinks came on a wacky rigged senko. The 2lb'er fought like hell, i thought he was going to be much bigger.

Quick trip to Whitman's Pond in Weymouth during my lunch break and finally got my first bass of the year, first cast with a spinnerbait and snagged this 2lb 1oz LMB. no other action though.

Quick trip in the kayaks with my buddy last night, neither of got so much as a nibble until it was dark out then i pulled this 1.46lb crappie out of a brush pile on a black and blue jig and a few minutes later he snagged a 2.2 LMB on a jig too. We threw spinnerbaits, crankbaits, swimbaits with no luck until busting out the jigs.

Yeah i've heard the same, i've never taken the boat out in it either. Just quick expeditions from shore or on my yak for an hour or two.

Anyone here have any experience fishing Whitman's Pond in weymouth, I work close enough to it to hit it during my lunch breaks quickly and was just looking for some pointers on where to hit there

Went out last night from about 6pm - 9:30pm to an unnamed pond on brockton/easton line with my cousin. I was throwing mainly a black/blue jig with craw trailer and a lipless crank here and there. He was using shiners. Apart from him getting a dink of a pickerel, we were unable to shake the skunk. Going out again saturday, hoping to land a few then.

Last night I hit Furnace Pond in pembroke with my cousin from about 6-9pm, not even a nibble for either of us. I was throwing out a jig, chatterbait, senko, and a frog. He was tossing out a little spoon and a t-rigged craw. Oh well, hoping to find the bite soon lol.

Hit Whitman's pond on the yak for my lunch break at work yesterday, from 12-2pm. Couldn't avoid the skunk and didn't even get so much as nibble. been tough outing my last few trips

Being my 2nd year bass fishing hard, and 1st time trying in the fall (stuck to summer fishing last year). i can't seem to figure out the fall bite or even where to dangle a line for a bite. last 3 times out, maybe 1 nibble. I usually stick to the smaller ponds in my kayak or jon boat. (furnace pond, johnson's pond, and whitman's pond-weymouth). My go to lures are a black and blue jig with green pumpkin craw trailer and a black hollowbodied frog. Any pointers of what to try/alter?
