  1. Both ideas are worth checking into. Many thanks.
  2. Anybody have an idea what I can get for a rubrail guard on a 2021 Tracker Classic XL? I hate messing with fenders and the dock I launch at is the perfect height for the rub rail on my boat but I don’t want to wear down the powdercoat on the rail. It looks too nice. I have searched high and low for rub rail guards and no luck. And I would prefer adhesive as opposed to drilling holes. Any ideas would be very welcome. BTW, love the boat. Many thanks. Bob
  3. Thanks Terrance, I can’t wait for it to cool down a little here so I can get out more. I live in Az. and fish in Lake Mohave mostly. The temps there have been brutal. Starting to cool a little now. Have to watch the wind too. It’s big water and builds big swells. I too love my boat. I did change the fuel tank to an aluminum 12.5 gallon tank that I had made. I didn’t like the way the new EPA tank vents into the battery well in the heat here. And my very tight fitting cover compounded it. Everytime I’d open the cover it smelled like a gas refinery. It’s now vented to the outside. Against the rules, but better than an explosion looking for a place to happen. Enjoy your Heritage and stay safe. Bob
  4. Hello Log Catcher and thank you. Just got done venting my aluminum fuel tank. Waiting for the the EPA police to kick my door in.
  5. Hi Bird, No, I don’t fish Lake Mead. It’s been very low and there are too many reports of people hitting things that used to be under 70 feet of water. Very sad. It’s also a little big for my boat. I launch out of Katherine’s Landing in Mohave, so I can stay in the narrow part of the lake and avoid the basin. I have seen pretty big waves in that water. I don’t know if you are familiar with Mohave , but I rarely venture past the power lines. Don’t need to. Plenty of fish in that lake.
  6. Many thanks. Glad to be here. Feel like I’m part of something good.
  7. Hello All, New Guy here. I am the proud owner of a 2021 Tracker Classic XL in black diamond with a 50 hp Merc. It was a birthday present in early Aug. and man, was I surprised. It is replacing a 1986 Basstracker Tournament TX17 that I had for about 6 or 7 years. It’s pretty much the same boat, only a little wider and no rivets to leak. And of course it’s more modern. I haven’t done to much to it yet, but that will change. I installed my Helix 7s from my old boat, an hour meter, and a 12 gallon aluminum fuel tank. I fish Lake Mohave and it’s a big lake. I like having the security of having enough fuel to get home. The boat handles better than my old boat and is a bit faster. My old boat had a 40 hp Suzuki 2 stroke and burned gas like crazy. I love this boat.
  8. Hello to all, New guy here. Had to jump in. I am the very proud and happy owner of a 2021 Classic XL in black diamond and 50 hp. That was my birthday gift in early Aug. I guess I was one of the very few who got the floor model right after it was delivered. I’m told all BPS and Cabelas were told no more selling the floor model. I’ve install 2 Humminbird helix 7’s from my old boat, hour meter and a 12 gallon aluminum gas tank. I fish a big lake and needed the extra security of having plenty of fuel. This boat replaced a 1986 Basstracker Tournament TX17 that I had for about 6 years. Except for being a bit wider and more modern it’s the same boat. And not riveted. No leaks. I love it. It seems to handle better than my old boat. Love it. Forgot the pic.
