  1. I'll tell mine, though Im sure you never heard of them. Local small water sheds In Indiana. (1) John Hay lake (2) Borden lake (3) lakes in the Hoosier national forest(4 lakes) (4)Starve Hollow lake (5) Patoka lake( this one is not small though) My secrets are out ;D
  2. Indiana was caught in 1991 , 14lb 12oz. by Jenifer schultz from a small lake.
  3. While I'm constantly looking at new crankbaits, and I'm just getting into the Japan made cranks, I'll allways reserve a front row spot for the Bomber model 6a in brown craw and the redfire craw/w chart. belly in my tackle box. And, the LC moonsault chart. shad gets a special slot also ;D
  4. Thanks guys, I may have to try a couple of each ;D The RC 2.5DD I got from BPS has rattles in it. The flat mini's at northern bass supply comes in 50 differant colors, a big selection. While the LC RC's at tackle warehouse only come in 7 differant colors. I'm going to need a really huge tacklebox before long.
  5. I've been loking at the LC RC series .5 & 1.5, many here chose them as their best LC bait, at tackle warehouse there is 7 diff. colors for the LC rc seies. But at northen bass supply there is 50 differant colors for the LC flat mini dr. I think both have rattles in them. Whats the differances between these two LC baits? :-/
  6. I didn't count them all up, but, there sure is a lot of votes for the LC RC .5 & 1.5 and also for the pointer. I just bought a RC 2.5 DD in copper green shad, haven't used it yet. I have had 4 Pointers , 3 shallow runners and 1 deeper runner. 1 Bevy shad and 1 Staysee90, but, I haven't gave these an honest try yet. I kinda went overboard on the Moonsaults, I must have 12 of them, cause I caught a big fish(9lb) on one ;D, and haven't done a whole after that. :'( I really went over board on the Megabass cyclone mr-x & md-x both, maybe a dozen of them, and, again :'(, haven't caught much to speak of. You would think I'd learn my lesson by now. Maybe I should just try to fish with the lures I bought. ;D
  7. zbass I did the nascar simulator one time at BPS, I was off the track more time than on it. I guess it takes some getting use to. I go to BPS sometimes 1 or 2 times a week, if nothing else just to look around
  8. for the suggestions guys, now I can spend a couple hours looking them all up on-line . Zbass, yea I know where BPS is its only about this far from my house . I haven't seen the Ghost Sunfish color in the rc, but I may have overlooked it. And, the Megabass Griffon bait seems so small.
  9. I voted for Cal., ........but little-bity Borden lake(pack a boat over the dam Borden lake) in Indiana might fool ya
  10. 1'st. I'll try the weed edges where deep water is close by, away from the bank, esp. if its been beaten to death and throw a crankbait.and adjust from there.
  11. Too much of the ...and not enough of this . reading bass forums, looking at fishing lures on-line, over and over and over again, and ordering too many
  12. I like the one in the pic from BPS.. It works. It will save you big bucks , pays for itself after 1 or 2 lures.
  13. Are the LC RC .5 & 1.5 shallow runners, and where do you find the Ghost sunfish color? whats the best fishing tactic for these, over shallow weed beds, shallow flats, etc.? I got a Megabass griffon, but, its a little bity thing, seems it would catch more small fish, and be hard to throw.
  14. Sounds like some really cool lures .....now if I just had the money to buy some ;D...thanks
  15. I'm reading a lot of buzz about some of these lures and Im just curious what are your top picks of them and color? I have had a little luck with the Lucky Craft moonsault chart. shad., and a few fish on a megabass mr-x cyclone aka tora, but nothing to brag about. Am I using the wrong ones? what about the vision 110, or the Sebile magic swimmer? I have actually done better on a Bomber model 6a brown craw. Thanks
  16. Here is a pic of one in the 4lb range we caught, nothing huge, but plenty of fun.SkilletSizeBass
  17. Hey guys, I wish to thank everybody on the forum for the tips and suggestions, inc. Ring Fry who I met at Mosers restraunt for diner one night, Ring Fry is a good guy and will help you out, good people, and I appreciate it. The night we arrived it stormed like heck, stained up the water, and fishing was tough, then add the wind, the stick-ups, getting hung up on the stick-ups, and the cold front that came thru, but, we had a great time, it was fun, we still managed 5 fish in the 4lb range, and 1 5lb., several smaller ones, nothing huge, but a good time. Most of our fish was caught on med. running crankbaits.I got a few pics, just dont know how to post em. I can see the potential to hang into a huge bass with a little luck.Again, I'd like to thank everybody here on the forum for their help. Thanks, SkilletSizeBass
  18. Ive used Google earth to find some good local spots also that I never knew exsisted, but I only had the free demo for like 10 days, isnt it like $400.00 a year?

  25. Hello guys, I'm new to this forum, good looking site for bass fishing. I'm from Indiana, a little too cold here still. I'll be going to lake Fork for the 1'st time from March 31 to April 7. I'll be overwhelmed by the size of the lake and a new lake, so any tips and suggestions would be appreciated. Does anybody know what the water temp. is running? what coves have good grass flats? Thanks, SkilletSizeBass
