    Thanks all for the recommendations so far. I have a variety of bait casters and rods up to medium-heavy. I'm willing to spend whatever I need to so I will have the best chance of catching fish. Same for the size; whatever is the better size.

    I have fished soft swim baits, but want to give hard bodies a try. I fish in N AL waters. Do you all have anyone in particular to recommend? There are so many, like any other lure, so it is hard to know.
