  2. Braid color won't matter since you're using a leader. Big fan of the 15lb 832 ghost to 8lb leader. Trying out some 15lb smackdown so we'll see how that goes.
  3. I use a megabass perfect pitch gen 1 for the spro baby poppin frog 50 on Guntersville paired with a metanium. It's a tad stiff for working 1/4 frogs but definitely doable with lighter twitches. It has a good tip to launch the frog and has plenty of backbone to set the hook hard. Plus I can step up to the larger size frogs if I want and can handle a wide range of techniques
  4. For TVA lakes, I'd get a shad color and a bluegill color. I have the most confidence in the jackhammer in 3/8oz and 1/2oz. I use a zoom fluke or a skinny dipper as a trailer

Yep I agree with the others about waiting til you feel the fish. It’s an exciting way to fish but you will miss way too many fish if you swing too early. I fish my frogs on an Orochi perfect pitch 50-65lb braid with a 8.1 metanium. I like the booyah pad crashers and spro bronzeye frogs (both in poppin and non-poppin). Also a big fan of the jackall kaera frog. If there’s a ton of fishing pressure don’t be afraid to go to a smaller frog
  6. The 70mgl feels perfect on my Dobyns 684cb. I’m sure my 150mgl would work too but that 70mgl/684cb combo is something special. I have the previous gen tat sv and it’s a great reel too but just a tad bulky. I’ve got it on my 7’ mxf zillion and it’s great on that rod. I’m sure you’d be happy either way
  7. I love my curado 150 mgls. Had the chronarch mgl but sold it since it didn’t fit my hand that well. Try them both and keep whichever one fits you best. Hope that helps
  8. I canceled my Expride order with TW, ordered from another site and had it in my hands in 3 days. Not blaming TW or anything since I’ve never had any issues with them. Must’ve had a ton of pre-orders or something
  9. TW may have pushed the date out due to demand but I'm sure they are shipping some out. MidwayUSA, FishUSA, ALF all had a decent amount available when I ordered
  10. Did you order from Tacklewarehouse by chance? I'm sure they are sending rods out as they come in but I canceled my order, ordered from another site that had them in stock, and had it in my hands in 3 days. The exprides are very impressive for the money
  11. bantam mgl 6.2 or save some money and get the 150mgl 6.2
  12. I agree with the others regarding the 150mgl. Going to be a huge seller for shimano. I'd buy both the 70mgl and 150mgl and see which one palms better and balances better. The tatula sv tw is a solid option as well. Palms better than the previous gen tatula sv
  13. vision 110s and vision 110 jr+1 - dobyns 684cb, curado 70mgl, 12lb sniper kvd deep jerkbait - falcon lowrider 6'6mh, curado 70mgl, 12lb sniper
  14. I've used the dirty jigs compact pitchin jig in the past. Very good components but a little pricier. I've switched over to the D&L baby advantage jigs and have been very impressed. They have solid components, lots of colors and rarely hang up. Can't go wrong with either the D&L baby advantage or the dirty jig compact pitchin jig imo
  15. I've owned the 734, 735, 765flip, 765cb, and 684cb and have sold all of them except for the crankbait rods. To me, I didn't find them that sensitive for bottom contact. I also had a champ extreme 745hp that I sold since I didn't feel like it was sensitive enough for the price. With that being said, the balance and warranty is great on the Dobyns. I only have the 6'9ml spinning zodias but it's been a great rod. Extremely light and sensitive in my hands. I don't think you can go wrong with either but if it's for bottom contact, I'd be leaning towards the zodias. The expride is a better option but the zodias is no slouch.
