Best Cheap Hard Swimbaits?
Was wanting to throw some hard swimbaits, the type that are one piece with the hinge in the middle like the 6th sense draw. I don't want to spend $70 on a bait though. What are some cheaper options for comparable jointed swimbaits? Something in the $30 range would be more reasonable. Was wondering if any used any cheaper options and had any suggestions or am I stuck having to pay big money

Pflueger President XT baitcaster, Daiwa Fuego CT, or another baitcaster under $115?
How do you take the side plate off this thing? I've got the switch pushed to unlock and it doesn't budge when I try twisting the plate off Nvm I figured it out. I guess the plate just pops off and doesn't twist like other baitcaster I've used

Best Weights for Different Finesse presentations?
I was wanting to fish more for smallmouth this year which typically means smaller baits and spinning rods, and more "finesse" presentations for largemouth. I was wondering what are good all around weights for each of the different presentations that can get me started for alot of different situations. And anyone know how much a standard weightless wacky rig weighs? Shakey head Drop shot Hair jig Finesse jig Neko rig

Pflueger President XT baitcaster, Daiwa Fuego CT, or another baitcaster under $115?
I actually have that reel and enjoy it. Find it's not quite as smooth when casting as my Lews or Daiwa, but doesn't affect performance. But probably won't get it since I'm looking for something new

Pflueger President XT baitcaster, Daiwa Fuego CT, or another baitcaster under $115?
Any concerns about the side plate coming off? Heard some complaints about that happening on the XT

What don't you like about the pflueger?

Pflueger President XT baitcaster, Daiwa Fuego CT, or another baitcaster under $115?
Need to purchase another all purpose baitcaster in the $115 and under price range. I have Daiwa, Shimano, Abu Garcia, and Lews baitcaster already. Was thinking of getting a different brand and was wondering if anyone has any reviews on the pflueger president XT baitcaster? Was wondering since I don't have any baitcaster from that brand, or is there another good option in that price range? I already own a Daiwa Fuego but wouldn't mind another if they're the best

Best way to store buzzbaits/spinnerbaits?
Any good boxes out there that store buzzbaits and spinnerbaits? Looked through some old forums and wasn't sure if there was some new box out there that stored them well

Purpose of Deep Tackle Trays?
I noticed some tackle box/tray companies sell 3700s in a deep version. What do people typically store in these deeper versions? Just a bigger quantity of stuff you store in usual 3700s? Or can you fit buzzbaits/spinnerbaits in them?

Does casting rod handle material matter?
So I was thinking, since rod companies all leave part of the blank exposed under the reel seat where you can rest a couple fingers, does it really matter if your handle is made of carbon fibre, cork, EVA, etc. specifically for casting rods

Waterproof vs nonwaterproof tackle boxes
Not sure if this is the right thread, but was wondering if yall have a preference between waterproof 3700 tackle boxes and the nonwaterproof ones? I would assume most people get the waterproof ones in case it rains or if you're in really wavy water, but aren't your lures more likely to rust in the waterproof ones due to the waterproofing if you're not careful? Which one does everyone prefer?

Rod for Frogging/Punching/Swimbaits, and possibly Pitching/Flipping
I was looking to purchase one rod to cover frogging, punching, and swimbaits up to 1.5 ounces. Hoping it could also help with pitching/flipping. Would a heavy, fast action 7" rod work well for this, or what power/action/length would be the perfect do all rod for these applications?

In-Fisherman Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass Handbooks
I noticed there's two different versions of the bass handbooks. There's a largemouth and smallmouth version with a newer looking cover and appears they were published more recent than the old largemouth (largemouth bass in the 1990s) and smallmouth handbooks. Is the newer looking books just an updated version of the older books? Are they completely different? Is one version better than the other?

Smallmouth Angler Website not in service?
Was wanting to purchase the river smallmouth fishing book by Tim Holschlag from his website. The cart does not seem to work and the business has not posted anything on their social media for over a few years now. Called and emailed them with no response. Did the business close down after Tim passed away?

Old in-fisherman Crappie Critical Concept Series Question
Surprised they never made a 3rd one. All the other species had at least 3....

Old in-fisherman Crappie Critical Concept Series Question
For the old In-fisherman's crappie critical concept series, did they only make 2 books, or did they make a 3rd which is really hard to find? Usually they would make at least 3 for every species, but can only find two books available online

Smallmouth Bass Book Inquiry
So I have Tony Beans "Last Smallmouth" and both Tim Holschlags river and stream smallmouth books. Also own the in-fisherman smallmouth handbook and James Root book. Should I bother buying the Dan Gapen "how to fish river smallmouth" book, or is most of the information already covered in those other books? Any really novel information compared to the others? Love Dan Gapens books, but a bit hesitant to purchase due to already having all those other books, and the price of the book being higher since it's out of print for awhile

Spoonplugging book vs Lunkers Love Nightcrawlers
I already own the spoonplugging book by Buck Perry and was wondering if buying the Lunkers Love Nightcrawlers book would be worth it, or if they're basically the same (in terms of structure fishing)? I'm talking specifically in terms of how they talk about structure fishing, not in regards to the other stuff (live bait fishing/spoonplugging)

Daiwa Ballistic MQ LT vs Daiwa Tatula MQ LT
I was looking for a reel to go with a ML rod for finesse bass fishing (neds, shakeyhead, etc.). I was interested in either the Daiwa Tatula MQ LT or the Ballistic MQ LT. This will only be used in freshwater if that matters. I was wondering what's the difference between these two reels and which reel might be better suited to my needs or if they are both equally great options. Anyone had the chance to try out both of these reels?

Spinning Reel Recommendations for Finesse?
Ballistic worth the extra cost in your opinion? How do the two compare?
-
Spinning Reel Recommendations for Finesse?
Looking for recommendations of a Daiwa/Shimano spinning reel under $190. Already own a Vanford. Was considering either a Shimano Ultegra, Shimano Miravel, Daiwa Ballistic MQ LT, or a Daiwa Tatula MQ LT. Any input on how these reels stack up, or recommendations for a different reel? This would be for finesse fishing with a ML spinning rod

Best Size Spinning Reel for ML spinning rod?
Bought a medium light 7 foot 1 inch spinning rod and was wondering what size spinning reel everyone likes with their medium lights? Do you usually prefer a 1000 size or 2500 size reel for bass fishing?

Where to get In-fisherman critical concept books
In terms of locating bass in different environments (reservoirs, lakes, ponds, etc), the handbooks cover all that in similar detail to the critical concepts? Just a little outdated in terms of current techniques? Are you sure the smallmouth book is still in print? Looks like they only sell used on amazon

Where to get In-fisherman critical concept books
Heard good things about In-fisherman's old books, especially the critical concept series. Does anyone know where you can purchase these and if they are still being made or can you only get them used? Any more up to date books similar to this series that is available?
