  1. As others have said: Spoons. I've caught many decent bass on red and white daredevils. I've also caught many smaller bass while fishing for trouth with really small pheobe's. Spoons aren't that "cool" but will catch a lot of fish. They really do have great action. Catch lots of other fish too such as pickeral, pike, panfish etc.
  2. How I got "hooked" on bass fishing with artificials. Throw a plastic worm (I used a 7" Electric Grape Power Worm") towards lilly beds, stumps, grass any other structure. Watch the line closely, if it tugs then tug back. If it doesn't tug back then give the rod tip a jerk or two. Apply different amounts of force. with each jerk. When you feel you are no longer in "fishy" water, then reel in, throw and repeat. Try to pick water with a lot of bass as this will make it more enjoyable. After he catches a few he will start telling you how to catch fish! Mention this forum when the day is out so he can research his own new techniques.
  3. 80% of the time weightless texas rigged. To be honest this is mostly because this is the rig I am most used to using on platics and I have confidence in it. Trying to explore with other rigs for plastics, especailly wacky rigging and "shakey head" jigs. Its funny I'll spend hours researching a new rigging technique but then when I'm actually on the water I'll go back to an older technique I trust. Its hard for me to built trust in a new lure/presentation.
  4. I really want to use this coupon but when I go to the link and click on the coupon to enlarge it I get an error message. Anyone have a different link or solution? Thanks man, great deal.
