How do you rig your senko and why?

Wacky has produced the most and best fish this past spring. For that reason, I fish wacky almost exclusively when it comes to senkos.

whenver im fishin them from my boat ill do it wakcy rigged cuz i can get more of a vertical presentation around cover, but if im from shore ill fish em texposed and twitch them like a jerkbait along the bottom.

You should have an "all of the above" option.

Fish it whichever way conditions require and/or allow.

I t-rig mostly because of the all the weeds up here in da north. However, when my senko gets torn up, I'll throw it wacky for a bit. Last night, I had beat up senko that was ripped and nearly torn in two. I wacky-rigged it and then caught a 4lb. smallie.  ;D

T-rig or wacky are the only way I rig them

Excellent answer! Me too.  ;)

Wacky.  It falls perfectly fine when t-rigged but IMO it falls DIRECTLY horizontal when wacky rigged.  No one seems to know why but they can't resist it wacky.  But im not prejudice against trigged, i have tried it and had some nice hits on it.

Wacky 100% of the time.

Gives the bait the most action, allowing both ends to wiggle.

We have lots of grass but it's hydrilla and doesn't present an issue.

I T-rig 'em weightless. Why?Because most everywhere that I fish is FULL of vegetation, and the weightless T-rig makes for a better presentation.

I quit fishing the 5" baits several years ago, they simply catch too many fish. "Wacky" is a small bass technique, I don't ever want to catch a 3 lb bass again. I fish the 6" Senko (not knock-offs) T-rigged, weightless and weedless ONLY.

If you can get by the little guys and find your way to the bottom, the chances of catching a bigger bass improve dramically. Most of my biggest bass come after letting the bait settle for a minute or more. Then a movement of 6-12" seems to get their attention. The next time the bait is move, WATCH OUT!

Fish real Senkos slow for better fish.

t rigged.

wacky picks up to many weeds.

T-rigged because that is how I learned to t-rig and caught my first with. I haven't caught one wacky rigged yet but I do keep trying from time to time but my go to right now is the t-rigged senko. Pure confidence I guess because everyone tells me wacky rigging is easier.

Texposed, because I get a better hook set than with a regular Texas rig.  If fishing is tough, the cover permits it, or I have torn up the senko I have on and am too lazy to get another one out of the box, I will wacky rig.

I will also wacky rig if I am taking a kid out.  I can take a kid to an area by the dam, hand him a rod with a Zebco 33 and wacky rigged senko and know that he will catch a few fish.

Weightless T-rig 'cause that's how I roll.
