Need help getting daiwa zillion weights aligned
This reel doesn’t have those. I know what you’re talking about though.

Need help getting daiwa zillion weights aligned
It seems better letting the magnets find their place of rest and putting the adjustment knob in on its highest setting, I just don’t know if this is proper or not. Otherwise I’m at a loss.

Need help getting daiwa zillion weights aligned
Hey guys, I have a daiwa zillion circa 2014, a ZLNTW100HL AKA Zillion TWS-100HL. I had to replace the magnetic weight portion of the spool cover. I’m unsure how to get it to “0” weights with the dial at zero? Do I go to the end of the gearing or do I let the weight find its neutral position and then put the dial indicator in. In this schematic (https://www.daiwa.com/us/service/manuals/image/baitcasting/ZLNTW100HL-100HSL-100XXSL.pdf) I’m specifically talking about part 10 “magnet holder” and it correlating to part 3, the brake adjustment knob. I just did a full service on the reel and that’s the only piece of the puzzle I was unsure of.

Bearing set for abu Garcia revo stx-30
Hello! I have an Abu Garcia Revo STX-30 spinning reel and I was wondering if somebody could help me find the correct size bearings I’d need for replacement? The stock bearings keep getting grease intrusion and slowing up the reel. There is one under the reduction gear, one on the pinion, two on the drive gear. I don’t remember if there’s one in the oscillation gear and there’s a plastic bearing holder at the top of the pinion that has one too. Or even if there’s a set of every bearing in the reel. As long as they’re sealed I don’t mind if they’re not ceramic. I disassembled the entire reel, degreased everything. Oil in the bearings, grease on the gears. I believe the reduction gear bearing is the one that really needs the replacing but the two on the drive gear and one on the pinion would probably help a ton too.

Should I use clips?
I buy snap swivels & snip the swivel off. It's basically a metal Rapala knot if you will. And makes swapping easier without wasting line.

Shimano Vanford drag upgrade, 1000 size
The stock drag IS sufficient and locked down probably able to snap my rod but I'm still going to put the carbontex in since I bought it.

Shimano Vanford drag upgrade, 1000 size
That I do. But I was taught after a trip to release the drag if you aren't using the reel anymore that day.

Does leaving the drag compressed (tight) damage it? I'm speaking of carbontex

Does dry damage the drag washer in any way?

They told me vanford 1000 has one drag washer. I haven't taken it apart yet. I guess we'll see!

It was actually $2.95... I just ordered it.

Felt. I emailed them and they said there's one washer in there. Grand total of $3.25. I'm going to splurge. I have their washers in every reel I own. LOVE THEM. One question is, do I grease with the tan grease I have or run dry? I think I've always greased. I'm running 15lb braid.

Does anybody know if the vanford shares a drag washer stack with another reel? I'd like to put a carbontex drag in and have an email in with them... just curious if anybody else has done it yet?

Bought a new rod/reel... reading rod breaks
Hey guys. I just bought a Shimano Vanford VF1000F and paired it with a Johnny Morris Carbonlite v2.0 6', light, fast spinning rod. I was reading on basspro reviews that many people have broken this rod. I'm going to run 15lb suffix 832. Does anybody have experience with this rod?
