  1. yeah... i will be putting foam on my rod handle now so it will float
  2. Is going braid to mono to fluoro a thing. It may stop a stiff rod from ripping a bluegill's face off. what else will the stretch of mono do?
  3. I have caught bass using x-zone adrenaline craw on a 1/8oz belly weighted EWG 3/0 and paca chunk on 2/0 EWG both using fluorocarbon line
  4. Has anyone tied a dropper fly to their lure or leader to fish more than one depth? I am thinking a royal coachman or buck-tail streamer with enough floatant would work above a jig on a slow drag maybe a wet fly or streamer under a popper would maximize bites. Besides getting bluegill to use as bait if bites are slow.
  5. you explaining how you reel with your dominant hand using a bait-caster and visa versa with the spinning makes so much sense to me now. I'm left hand and have been taught by right handers or right handed things. I use a spinning rod for everything set up for a left hander, when i use spin-cast it is set up with the reel handle on right side. Now i know why to me the handles are on the wrong side for a left-handed reel when i was looking at bait-casting rods.

  7. I have been practicing pitching in my back yard and as bank angler this technique will allow me to get casts when surrounded by trees or i want to cast under low laying trees. I have two rods a 7'6" med power fast action hard tip carbon fiber spinning rod braid line and a 5' 6" med light power medium action soft tip fiberglass casting rod mono line. The shorter rod seems to pitch the same weight even lighter weight lure further. Both being accurate at 25' what differences between the rods would allow my medium light rod to pitch further?
