  1. I'm glad everything is secure now, I enjoy posting on this forum every now and then
  2. I have the expride b myself, it is very light and sensitive. im assuming superior blank technology. both rods have SiC guides. so the blank must be more advanced
  3. Yeah it may/ may not be more sensitive but that jump in price point has to account for something lol. I know it has SiC guides but that alone would not explain the price difference so there has to be something more advanced about it
  4. hey I was thinking about picking up the redesigned poison adrena, the 7ft 2" medium casting rod. what do you guys think of it for those who own one? im curious to know thanks
  5. Yeah lol im not leaving my carbon washers completely dry it doesnt sound like a good idea
  6. So are you saying not to even add a thin amount of grease to the carbon washers? Leave them dry?
  7. BassSteve changed their profile photo
  8. well maybe one day you will get it again. but the felt type washer compared to the carbon type, I know the carbon is superior but by how much? would you say it's very little difference or significant difference?
  9. yes i caught a few this morning on it to test it out! it's definitely a solid enough reel, I ordered the carbon drag washers for it, it has that felt washer soaked in oil or grease so I will swap that out later 👍
  10. slx xt A arrived yesterday, can't wait to use it and see how it is 😎
  11. only just started this month for the whole year so far....glad I did
  12. hey just picked up some things to try out that arrived today 😎
  13. I have never had any issues with sic or alconite guides on my rods so durable enough I guess, but I also baby my equipment so that's a big factor
  14. In my opinion its just about personal preference in terms of feel. I don't believe it will help becoming a "better fisherman" or anything. I prefer the carbon or grip type "wynn" grip or whatever its called but I have nothing against cork either
  15. Hey We all know that a heavy rod is typically used for what would be considered "heavy duty" situations like fishing in heavy cover or using particularly heavy lures. What im wondering is have you ever used a heavy rated rod for not so "heavy duty" situations? Things like spinnerbaits or chatterbaits, even throwing a 6" worm with a little weight added to it. Im just curious if you only strictly use a heavy rated rod for the "heavy" scenarios. After all, some heavy rated rods turn out to feel a little under that, and may feel more like MH or "MH+" Thanks
  16. interesting points you make, it may or may not be better than the previous model but im just purchasing it to add for the collection lol 😁. im sure i will get my share of fun with it but I doubt it will take my attention off my bantam or chronarch for too long 😎
