  1. I'm glad everything is secure now, I enjoy posting on this forum every now and then
  2. I have the expride b myself, it is very light and sensitive. im assuming superior blank technology. both rods have SiC guides. so the blank must be more advanced
  3. Yeah it may/ may not be more sensitive but that jump in price point has to account for something lol. I know it has SiC guides but that alone would not explain the price difference so there has to be something more advanced about it
  4. hey I was thinking about picking up the redesigned poison adrena, the 7ft 2" medium casting rod. what do you guys think of it for those who own one? im curious to know thanks
  5. Yeah lol im not leaving my carbon washers completely dry it doesnt sound like a good idea
  6. So are you saying not to even add a thin amount of grease to the carbon washers? Leave them dry?
  7. well maybe one day you will get it again. but the felt type washer compared to the carbon type, I know the carbon is superior but by how much? would you say it's very little difference or significant difference?
  8. yes i caught a few this morning on it to test it out! it's definitely a solid enough reel, I ordered the carbon drag washers for it, it has that felt washer soaked in oil or grease so I will swap that out later 👍
  9. slx xt A arrived yesterday, can't wait to use it and see how it is 😎
  10. only just started this month for the whole year so far....glad I did
  11. hey just picked up some things to try out that arrived today 😎
  12. I have never had any issues with sic or alconite guides on my rods so durable enough I guess, but I also baby my equipment so that's a big factor
  13. In my opinion its just about personal preference in terms of feel. I don't believe it will help becoming a "better fisherman" or anything. I prefer the carbon or grip type "wynn" grip or whatever its called but I have nothing against cork either
  14. Hey We all know that a heavy rod is typically used for what would be considered "heavy duty" situations like fishing in heavy cover or using particularly heavy lures. What im wondering is have you ever used a heavy rated rod for not so "heavy duty" situations? Things like spinnerbaits or chatterbaits, even throwing a 6" worm with a little weight added to it. Im just curious if you only strictly use a heavy rated rod for the "heavy" scenarios. After all, some heavy rated rods turn out to feel a little under that, and may feel more like MH or "MH+" Thanks
  15. interesting points you make, it may or may not be better than the previous model but im just purchasing it to add for the collection lol 😁. im sure i will get my share of fun with it but I doubt it will take my attention off my bantam or chronarch for too long 😎
  16. Not upset just surprised, I have posted many things over the years and I dont think it has happened until now lol first time for everyone i guess
  17. If you cant feel your fingers and motor control is greatly diminished i probably wouldn't do it
  18. I sort of ignored the slx model for a long time because you tend to do that when you already have the higher end models. But when i was reading the technology they added it peaked my interest. It has the nice hagane frame body too
  19. Im not sure about dc model. The only dc I own is the exsence but apparently the xt A is the latest slx model im not sure when it was released It could have been 3 years ago for all I know lol. So you dont regret buying it that's good to hear.
  20. I guess my post about the slx xt a has been taken over...lol 😶
  21. I mean the models with the hagane frame should not feel cheap or plastic-like, not in my experience anyway
  22. I appreciate it, all it takes is catching a nice fish to get me charged again 😎
  23. hey, I know the slx model reels have been around for a long time now, and I have never bothered with it because I already have quite a few reels. but the price seems reasonable for the technology they put into it so I gave in and purchased. for those who own the reel what are your impressions? do you regret it or think it's a solid reel? interested to know your thoughts thanks
  24. Hey hope everyone is doing ok, caught a few nice peacock bass this morning with jerkbaits. have not fished all year until this morning, and glad I did 😎
