  1. wow yeah I can understand that, with the level of movement of that thing
  2. Sorry yes it is rooster tail brand. For me, at least before I messed with changing the hooks out... it seemed like I never had to give it quick side swipe to get it going. Now it's hit or miss, either it starts going after the cast as usual, or I have to twitch it. Another thing that happens is when I cast the line gets under the blade, and then I have to recast because it impedes the spinning action. That does not happen too often though, it may be something I cant control anyway
  3. I recently decided to change a couple treble hooks out with single hooks on a couple rooster tail style spinner baits. The single hook I used looks comparable in size to the treble I removed, maybe slightly larger, but the spinning action does not work right. I have to constantly jerk it a few times to get the blade going. Is this a matter of a wrong hook size, or is a treble hook used standard for a reason because it is symmetrical? Also, would you guys know what good single hook sizes are good to use with 1/4, 1/6, 3/8ths etc?? any advice would be great, thanks
  4. Nice to see I'm not the only one who still gets tricked lol. I have to admit after it happens I feel a bit silly too, have a "how could I fall for that" moment
  5. Customers do not want me in their houses these days so for me it is like a vacation. I can hold out for a while without work fortunately. Basically I have been fishing and exercising. Staying in the house can get boring at times, and certain stores not being open right now is also unfortunate but probably necessary. So otherwise a lot of computer and TV time
  6. Hey, Just curious, but how often do you find yourselves fooled by the hook briefly catching a rock, or lure making its way through grass and getting caught up? Sometimes it can be pretty convincing that it's a fish when it scrapes around. Even after 17 years of fishing I still get hit with that false excitement lol.. What do you guys think? Does this become less and less as you have been fishing many years, or does this not change for the most part?
