  1. I appreciate everyones advice/responses.
  2. I recently purchased a couple Daiwa Tatula CT's 7.4:1 ratio. I have noticed the last couple times out that when reeling under a load, it seems tough to reel, lots of resistance. When using a lure with a lot of resistance like a spinner bait or a chatter bait it just seems like it's not smooth and takes a lot of effort to turn the handle, not to mention when I have a fish on. I'm relatively new to the baitcasting world, maybe that's what you get with a $130 reel? Any thoughts or help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  3. Tim, I should have mentioned in my initial post....that's the first thing I checked. Thanks Bulldog, thanks for the suggestions. just seems weird for a reel so new to have issues. That's why I bought the BG....thanks
  4. I apologize if this has been asked/answered. I searched and didn't find anything. I have two Daiwa BG 2500's that were purchased last fall. I have noticed over the past couple week that both have developed a clicking sound when retrieving. This only seems to happen when there is tension on the line (Fighting a fish or retrieving a heavier lure) I run Suffix braid (not sure if that has anything to do with it or not) Still feels smooth, but the clicking noise is annoying for a $100+ reel that's only been used for a few months. I did oil the roller bearing and that didn't make any difference. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
