  1. Im in nashville and im getting into carp fishing on a fly rod, wondering if anybody can tell me some places near me that maby they have seen alot of carp while bass fishing or something. they like muddy flats... its pretty fun catching a ten pound carp on a 4 wt fly rod, ask me about it if your interested. they call it the poor mans bonefish but i think it would give a bonefish a run for its money, thanks- dux
  2. i use chicken livers pantyhose works but is a pain to rebait cause you cause you have to cut it off the hook i like to chum with the chicken blood in the chicken liver tub, just find a way to get it out there use a slip sinker with an open bail hook with a two - three foot leader swivel and then an egg sinker so the catfish can pull the line through the sinker and feel zero resistance and when you see line moving off your bail, close it and set the hook, good luck
  3. i have always known them as red-eye
  4. they dont get that big so id go with four pound just to keep them away from logs and stuff
  5. find some road kill and tie it to an overhanging limb out over the water. flies will go lay eggs on the dead whatever and when they hatch the maggots will fall into the water and you will have an instant catfish hole in a couple days. good luck... if you dont do that fish outside bends in rivers and rocky shorelines in lakes cause they like to hole up in the rocks
  6. i dont kiss, i just wear the same shirt every time i go out and it has helped so much (senko's help to) some of the ponds i fish are nasty so idk if i should kiss my fish in fear of my children growing extra limbs
  7. i had a ball hit at me today
  8. o i reseased him, i never keep bass, i always like to think that i will catch them again when they are bigger. the reason were in the parking lot is because my friend had to go back and get his camera. Roadwarrior, i dont have a boat and percy priest is to far away, i have been before but the shores seem very fished. the harpeth and little harpeth i have fished but there is no large fish in it. and the cumberland is hard to fish without a boa. :'( if you know any other waters i can fish, please tell me haha.
  9. it was 21 inches and a little under 5lbs

Due to lack of fishing waters around Nashville, i have not had the oppertunity to persue any big bass. last weekend i got a 2.5lb bass which was my personal best, then after school iwent to a pond i found in the middle of an appartment complex. and i pulled out this monster. o ya this was the first weekend i had been sucessful with the Senko and i slayed em
  11. I, while not being a florida dweller, visit my g-parents sometimes. While down there i beg my pa to take me fishing because i take my rod every where. While at the local tackle shop, one of the guides pulled us aside and told us to go to a golf coarse pond near sand destin and as long as you stay out of the way of the golfers they dont mind and ask you what you caught and whatnot. there were alot of bass and there were some huge ones i saw that gave me a look. i could have made the trip very productive if i had only discoverd this site before the trip...
