TOURNAMENTS IN NEW JERSEY OR NEW YORK
if we can get a good group of people together and do a 25-50 dollar buy in per boat, ill do it! most bass caught in a day wins it. but if we get more people we can host something.

TOURNAMENTS IN NEW JERSEY OR NEW YORK
Good Day everyone, any one here on the east coast know any where I can sign up for kayak or boat tournaments in new jersey or new york ? i was looking into maybe making a page on Instagram or Facebook to host some my self with close friends and have it open to the public but thought it just be easier to sign up and avoid the headaches of hosting myself lol. i have a perception pescador pro 10.0 and a 12 ft semi v jon boat. gas and electric motor if that matters. just looking for some fun competition and to make myself a better angler. Thanks

NAVIONICS VS I-BOATING (PREMIUM VERSIONS) VS GOOD FISHFINDER
i did take a closer look and yes your correct theres a bunch of markings even on the contour maps that state "emergent vegetation", dead wood etc.... is there a way to see when the lake was surveyed last?

NAVIONICS VS I-BOATING (PREMIUM VERSIONS) VS GOOD FISHFINDER
So, how accurate is navionics in terms of the overlays, for the lakes I fish or research on the free version of the app it seems like the overlays dont work for me. so (if you can even answer this) do less common lakes have support for those overlays in the premium version ?

NAVIONICS VS I-BOATING (PREMIUM VERSIONS) VS GOOD FISHFINDER
Hey everyone, so currently my fishfinder situation is a lowarance hook 2 4x with a bullet skimmer and basic white screen map plotter. I got it when I only had my kayak and wanted to know basic depth and bottom contours or if there were any fish under me. I still have my kayak but also added a smaller 12 ft semi v jon boat. the lowrance doesnt really help me too much, or I just don't know how to use it as I'm really struggling this year to catch any bass. I know im fishing well known good spots but have a hard time. i'm looking to invest in either a good fishfinder with maps and a good transducer on it for di and other features. so my main question is has anyone used I-BOATING or NAVIONICS ? are they better to get standalone and stick with my fish finder ? or should I just get a fishfinder and get a premium version of one of these apps? please share your experiences . Thanks for any help provided !

Dont Know What To Do
well both bodies I mentioned in the beginning of my post are known good LMB and one is a great SMB spot. anytime i ask people how theyve done they say eh we caught a few bass and some pickerel, could they be exaggerating sure, we all do it , but i like to think most people keep returniong to these spots because they catch. i at least do because I really do great catching perch and pickerel on ultra light gear and have a ton of fun fighting them.

what speed should I fish it at ? fast ? slow? or various different retrieval speeds?

Dont Know What To Do
so casting with bait casters and spinning rods isn't an issue for me, unless maybe imp not presenting the lure properly i.e making too much noise with my lure when it hits the water, which I could easily adjust by casting lighter.

Dont Know What To Do
Hey you guys, I've been lurking here in the shadows for a while before making an account. I've been trying my best to learn as much as I can but its just getting difficult. I fish pretty Much any free time I have which is mainly weekend's or one night if I can get home from work early enough. I just cant catch bass consistently. I can catch pickerel and perch all day long and I always have a great time but I really wanna start catching some large and small mouths but nothing I do seems to work unless a bass hits out of no where. I've thrown Texas rigs, drop shots, wackys, cranks, spinnerbaits, top water early morning. Nothing seems to work. I fish mainly some tainted water lakes and ponds and larger very clear water freshwater reservoirs that have every environment imaginable. I don't know if I'm just fishing the wrong bodies of water all together or if I'm just not a good bass fisher lol. What should I try focusing on that's almost guaranteed to catch me a few solid bass?
