Not for everyone.......just me. ☹️ Sorry to get off topic so often. ADHD. I went Sunday and gave my arms a workout. Caught one LM and hooked a gar half as long as the boat. That big boy was screaming drag, went airborne , and was gone! Thanks goodness because I wanted my bladed jig back! Long, hot, six hour trip for one dink. I really stink at this. 😐

That total is staggering my senses! You have a major farm. I have a mini-farm. Hope you are having a good year! Do you use mechanical means to harvest? Love to see a picture of your place!

Since I'm not likely to ever show a fish on this thread, at least I can show what I can do....grow things! My 35 blueberry bushes are drowning us in berries. My daughter was out way past dark last night, and brought in three gallons! Anyone having luck in the garden this year?

That was my first time. I have to drive through Nashville to get there so It may be my last. I have read in a couple articles about how good the fishing was but I stunk it up. Do you do well there?

I was melting under my umbrella yesterday on Cheatham Lake when a boat pulls up and the driver shouts "Blue Raider Bob"! It was fellow BR member Chris Catignani. He said he recognized me from across the lake because of my umbrella! We had gone fishing together several years previous on the Cumberland River, below the Old Hickory dam, and happened to have had a great day catching smallies and spots. Chris is a lure, jig, and rod maker who takes this lifestyle seriously. He said the only reason he went with me is because he needed a "Net Man"! Ha! Actually he did and I performed terribly, loosing his biggest smallie! In spite of that, he was kind enough to gift me a bag of jig heads and soft lures that I have put to good use. At the time of our meeting, I was not a bit surprised that he was outfishing me. He had caught several, while I still had the skunk in the boat. He gave me a tip which produced one fish for the day. Another hot, disappointing day, but it was good to met up with a fishing friend! Have you every come across a BR member?

Eric, no doubt those are framers hands! Smashed, mashed, splintered, re-splintered before previous healed, sunburned, arthritic, swollen, just enough strength to lip a Bass! I know, I've got a couple just like em'!

king fisher was describing himself as younger, not at our age. You may be sweet 99.5 now, but growing up with brothers, I bet that percentage was not nearly as high back in the day! 😁 I know I would jump right into the fray before i gave much thought about how i was gettin' out!

One other thing .......I just love how you treated your builder and sub-contractors with daily coffee, pastries, and beef jerky. I can tell you from experience that your investment was returned ten-fold. Those guys took a little extra time making SURE it was right. Nothing like working for someone that you really want to please! Been there/done that! Had a woman bring us popsicles every day while framing her house one July way back in the day. She knew what she was doing and she got a real good house! When I went to selling instead of framing, I would take (still do) framing crews water, cokes, pizza, ect. Those guys would kill for me. This one framers name is Zoro. (No kidding). Took him and his crew a case of cerveza fria on Friday afternoons. He told me one day, (Senior Bob....if de lumber mans from nother lumber company comes to my job, I tell heems to go way rapido. If heems don't go, I shoot him so full of de holes that he looks like de swiss cheese!) I think he was kidding? Point being, an investment in kindness goes a long, long way!

Thanks for the kind words but I could not have built your house. It is filled with beautiful, natural woods, such as Cherry, Maple, Walnut, Oak. No way I could have coped all those fine joints together the way your guys did. Hat's off to finish carpenters that don't rely on caulk like I do!

THAT will give them a hair-trigger for sure! I used to be calm, imperturbable, then one day I took up fishing! True story! One day a builder friend of mine and I were walking the bank of Lake Logan in Tennessee. There are homes surrounding this small lake, and as we walked across this one property to get to the next, this woman comes running down her stairs and gives us a real blessing. Well we scooted away fast as we could when my buddy turns to me and say, (Dang! And to think I built her house!) 😁

True that! I have used many of these pictures to get copied on canvas as wall art. I have a very large one from DiscoChef in my den. There are several others scattered thoughout my house, garage, gym, ect. If i'm not careful I'm going to cover up every wall. Our forum family shares the most beautiful places on earth!

Lake Normandy. Normandy Tennessee What appeared to be a wad of tree branch flotsam was in fact, a small bowl of wonder! The only reason I noticed is mama bird flew right up to the nest only an arm length away. She was fearless of my presence. Too bad I couldn't get my camera out in time. She was some kind of Warbler, I presume.

Mid June with temps in the eighties. Bass and BG have completed their spawns and the little'uns are active. Chara has taken over the pond but I must look on the bright side. It is providing a safe nursery for the young of the year be it piscis, insect life, or invertebrate. The aquatic plantings are flourishing and the fish use them to full advantage. When I toss feed, the BG come from under the dock, and from under the plants so I just confirm what we already know, which is.....the gamefish look for overhead cover for safety. The Gizzard Shad behave much differently. They school in the openings between the Chara and are always on the move. The school is always moving quickly and constantly changing directions, never knowing when a Bass will come bursting through the vegetation. Looking forward to observe through the seasons as the water continues to warm before the end of summer.

I can tell you're a proud dad! Love your posts! I've got four of my own, and my youngest has goats, horses, and she packs! She has a bumper sticker on her F-150 that reads....(I own a Glock. I'm just not a pepper spray kind of girl!) 😁 She also has a tee-shirt that reads....(Stomp my Flag and I'll Stomp your A.....).
