  1. Nice fish! That is a pretty strange lump on her tail fin area. It would be hard to mistake that fish once caught.
  2. Pretty fish!
  3. We hit the water at about 6:30 am today. The fish seem to shut down at around 10 am today. :'(
  4. Thats it? Yeah, that's it! In all fairness... it was a old phosphate pit out on some cattle land that we snuck out to. I have caught over 30 in a natural lake though before. Just not too often! Hey preach4bass, where are you located at (state) and how is the fishing weather up your way? Just curious. Today was very windy here once it hit about 9 am or so.
  5. Awesome! I caught 16 this morning and 21 yesterday morning (including a 10.6# Bass). My all time best is 58 Bass in 1 day. Anytime you can catch a few Bass is a good day. I've had a few of those 0 Bass days. I just don't talk about them.
  6. LOL! ;D Well, not exactly. I've had it about 1 yr now. I was looking for a Bass boat but could not resist the deal I got on this boat! It's a great boat to fish out of. Very stable and it runs great. It's also very easy to clean up. I paid $5,500 cash for it! It's a Release 20' (19.7 actually) with a Yamaha Vmax 150. Anyone else here Bass fishing out of a flats boat?
  7. Way to go! I love top water fishing.
  8. Zoom worms rule! I remember fishing a phosphate pit here in Central Florida (we kinda snuck in there!) and as I wondered down to the edge of the bank... I remember seeing HUGE and I mean HUGE Bass all over the place on the bed! I couldn't get the big ones to bite for nothing that day. >
  9. Nice! How long was the 7+? Just curious. Those are some healthy looking Bass!
  10. Pretty fish... congrats!

Thanks! I brought the camera this time! I caught the 27" monster in my avatar a little over 2 weeks ago out of the same lake and all I had was my crappy camera phone. I wish I had a better pic of that one. :'(

A nice little post spawned 26" Bass. Another view...
  16. I've built quite a few rods using Lamiglass blanks. Super nice rods IMO.
  17. Good for you! Hope you catch a monster with it! 8-)
  18. Thanks for all the replies guys. I was just curious. Looks like we all have our own likes and dislikes. That's what makes the world go round'!
  19. Just curious. I mostly fish a Texas rig, using either a 6" u-tail or a 5" Finesse worm with a 1/0 hook. For this method of Bass fishing... I prefer a 6'6" MHF rod. I build my own rods and lean towards St Croix blanks. Of course, I spine all of my rods and balance them as well, so that makes a huge difference. My worm reel right now is a Calcutta 100. I recently caught a 12.11# Bass on this set up with 12# P-Line. Just curious as to what some of your worm combos are. I see a lot of people using a 7' H rod for worm fishing.
  20. I see. I'm not too far from you. I live in Polk County.
  21. Nice fish! What part of Florida were they caught at?
  22. Nice fish! How long was she? I'm not too far from Clearwater.

Thanks for the comments, guys... I think? ;D The sad part is... I actually have a pic of me wearing parachute pants while holding a catfish! ;D
