  1. I have lived in North Florida for 18 years. I have come to the conclusion that the bass fishing here is dog poo at best. The ONLY place I have heard good about is Feldmere, the lake is called headwaters. Too far for me to drive but I have heard good things about the lake. Anywhere else and you will most likely be disappointed. I have been out several hundred time in 18 years and have about 20 bass under 1 pound to show for it. I don't even buy a license anymore the bass fishing is so bad. Good blugill, and cropie fishing, bass fishing is non existent, at least that's been my experience. The closest I get to bass in Florida is youtube videos haha. Good luck.
  2. Try a different species. Bass fishing in Florida is dead. Been dead for the last 15 of the 18 years i have lived here. They are either over fished, or poor water management. Either way same end result. Not even worth spending money on a license. The only place here I know you can do well is Feldsmear near stick marsh. I fish near Ocala and there is ZERO chance to catch any bass at all. The last 4 times out on the boat nothing, not even a bite. Mud fish city.

  4. I have lived in Florida for 18 years and sad to say the bass fishing here is dog poo at best. I have been out on the boat over 100 times in the last 3 years and maybe have 20 bass all around 1 pound. Its either fished out or the fish and game management has screwed it up with lake grass poison. Either way same end result every time. Selling everything and taking up golf, lol
