Hi, I am looking for information on the SLX glass rods, and haven’t been able to find much. Looking for a rod to throw mostly Bomber Model A (6A; 6-8ft) and KVD 1.5 DD crankbaits in rocky structure (Idaho/Oregon reservoirs). Has anyone tried out the glass SLX in medium/moderate and medium-light/moderate? I handled the medium/moderate in a store and it felt awful heavy - especially since I’m mostly targeting ~12” smallmouth. I haven’t been able to handle a medium-light/moderate action so I am curious how it compares. Is the blank a lot smaller diameter on the medium-light? And finally, if I did go with the medium instead of the medium-light, could I get away with occasionally throwing a 5XD? I’m not fishing crankbaits that deep currently, but I’d like to give it a try.
