Thanks, I think I will start using existing battery and if necessary add an additional one. My fishing is pretty much a half day at a time, I am older and cant handle the daylight till dark thing anymore. So I think current setup will work.

I am about to add LS and appreciate your thoughts It seems that people are using a separate battery for black box for LS. Why do you need a separate battery? Can't you just use starting battery, or tm battery? That's what I have done with previous electronics,
