Looking for a compliment to my 7’2 Expride B MH-F - Curado 150 MGL
Just looking for advice really. I feel like a can cover a lot of ground with what I got now. Have been thinking maybe a spinning outfit would be a good idea. Just not sure what I’d be able to do with a spinning that I can’t do now Looking for a complete setup btw.

Looking for a compliment to my 7’2 Expride B MH-F - Curado 150 MGL
Parents want to buy me a graduation gift, $500 budget. The only Rod I own is a 7’2 Expride B MH-F with a curado 150 MGL. I only bank fish, in central florida. Occasionally I bank fish saltwater. Looking for something to compliment my current setup. Thanks for any advice!

Should I pre-order the Shimano 22 Bantam MGL or buy JDM Metanium MGL?
How so?

What about US Metanium? I bank fish Central FL. Usually don't have many places to cast from so I need to be able to cast far, but I'm also fishing through grass/weeds/pads so I need something powerful as well. What about US Metanium? Any predictions on 2022 Bantam MGL castability vs 2020 Metanium MGL?
I'm aware of the spec differences like weight, bearings, material etc. I only bank fish in Central Florida so I typically only have a few places to cast from and almost always am fishing in heavy grass, weeds, etc. I know the Bantam is more ideal for heavy grass, but if the Metanium casts 10ft or so further that could be the difference between me being able to reach my target or not.

Should I pre-order the Shimano 22 Bantam MGL or buy JDM Metanium MGL?
I have a $350 reel budget. I'd like to be able to use it in salt water occasionally, but 90% of use will be bank fishing in Central Florida. As a bank fisherman, casting distance is a big priority for me. I know the Bantam is heavy, but I usually don't fish for more than 3 hours. Really appreciate any advice.

Where in FL?
Are you able to bank fish turkey lake? I live by lake Lorna Doone in downtown Orlando so this is close for me.

Hey, I’m new!
Thanks for having me! I’ve been fishing (mostly saltwater) for 10+ years now but just caught the bass bug a few months ago because of how much fun I had using a $50 baitcaster from Dick’s. Now, I’m looking to purchase my first higher end rig and was hoping to get some advice in this forum. My budget is ~400 for rod and reel. Most of the use will be for shore fishing ponds/lakes in Central Florida. Im pretty set on the 21 Scorpian DC for reel due to its forgiveness but certainly open to suggestions. For rods I’ve mostly been considering the Megabass Levante and Shimano Zodias. I’m very open to purchasing JDM but its pretty confusing with Shimano rods. I appreciate any advice!
