  1. Thanks. I didn’t think so, but wanted 2nd or 50th opinion.
  2. Realistically, how much charge will I lose if i have fully charged batteries and leave them unplugged overnight in, say, 32 degrees temps with the expectation of fishing the next morning?
  3. Boated 10 today. Couple little guys but some decent fish as well. 16 & 17 inches for a handful of them. Get any fishing in today? Any luck? We put in at Nineveh and managed 10. Couple small ones but some nice 16 & 17 inch fish as well.
  4. I catch 90% of my fish on 3 inch paddletails. I’ve recently started bringing more in with jigs. Going to concentrate on jigs this year. The goal is to be able to match water, hatch, speed, depth, to be able to reliably fish jigs no matter conditions.
  5. Not the DLX, just a standard 1860. Im not really sure what the dlx difference is, other than the seat back. I’ll tell ya what though, this boat is amazing. Had it just under a year. Planes lickety split, fast, requires minimal water, plenty of room, nice storage, i even put eva foam flooring down and while my wife is on the shorter side if she tires of fishing, suntan time!
  6. Thanks a lot, but have a box full and unopened packs in the hatches. I’ll make a run to the local tackle shop before then and drop a few bucks loading up. I’ve got a G3 with an 80 jet. If you see one out there with PA registration dont hesitate to motor up to say Hi!
  7. Would you think the same for carp breaking the surface? I fish falmouth boat launch on the susky a lot and have never seen carp break the surface the way they do there. I typically, always, avoid the spots with breeching carp but will have to take another look at it now.
  8. 30 years ago fishing around some docks at the boat club campground with my cousins. 1 of my cousins had a snoopy rod, we were around 10 but the rod they make for 5 year old. Dude hooked the biggest catfish I’ve still ever seen. Reeled it all the way to the dock holding on for dear life until the rod or line, dont remember which, broke. The whole campground was on that dock cheering. Until they all walked away shaking their heads.
  9. If i can get on 10 to 15 2-3 lbers each day, ill be a very happy fisherman
  10. I believe this as well. My feeling is the up and down temps right now. 2 weeks ago water temp was 65, friday 62, yesterday 60. Going to get colder this week, here in pa, with overnight temps in the 30s and day temps high 50s low 60s.
  11. Hello again, I’m back with another NY fishing question. Memorial day weekend I’ll be heading to NY to fish the Susquehanna river, near the Afton NY area. I fish the Susquehanna in PA every weekend. The smallmouth here are nice, based primarily on the big bass program that forbades keeping smallmouth for a stretch from Harrisburg to Maryland. Just wondering what The smallmouth fishing on the susky in NY is like.
  12. @king fisher i appreciate the response. Its obvious you know what you’re talking about. Currently run a 15hp tiller, prop, 14 ft jon. A 1984 game fisher to be exact. The river is not full of tight turns and spaces, rather wife open and shallow. Typically theres at least 6 feet of water, the problem i run into is the occasional rocks 6-8 inches under. I dont know where youre from so this may be a repeat you’ve heard or are aware of but, “the Susquehanna is a mile wide, a foot deep, and more rocks than water.” It doesn’t necessarily hold true in most spots, but it does have some merit. I fish equally as often on my neighbors boat- G3 90/60. Its much easier than my tiller. I’m aware the G3 is a higher class boat than the tracker, it’s also out of my budget. The main reason in the tracker interest is, after much convincing, i got the wife out good friday for her first time on a boat or fishing. She loves it. She just hates the way we trip over each other in the jon. @TOXIC i would say casual. Every Saturday i cam from april-december and the occasional vacation day each month.
  13. Ive got a neighbor with a G3 90/60 jet we fish on. My 15 prop gets 21 mph, i understand the 40 jet wont get much better but at wide open where i know the rocks aren’t my wife already telling me slow it down. Dont need much more than that.
  14. Susquehanna river. 6 inches to 12 feet in 100 yards.
  15. I’ve seen the 6,000 pages of Tracker topics on here. Give me the story, what do y’all think of your Trackers? What year? Quality, how have they held up? How they running? Strongly considering placing an order on a Pro 170 with 40 jet.
