for what it is worth: I recently purchased a Lowrance 7 hook reveal tps along with a Nocqua 20 Ah Pro Power Kit ($199) Great power unit...lasts all day and then some....easy to restore power with unit provided. My guess is you could slave on the unit on your boat off your Minkota power source and other off the Nocqua. Hope this helps...given the date of the post...you've probably already made your decision.

For me, a bit embarrassed to ask this question. But this 77 year old can't activate his new Lowrance Hook 7 reveal tps. If I don't turn off the "DEMO," that is all I get. When I do turn it off, and go to my "Sonar" icon, it shows the sonar box with one word on it...all caps...STOPPED....when I attempt to use the sonar, fill in all the required fields (custom mode) it does not show the results. So my question is, in addition to powering up my Lowrance, do I need to do something else to avoid the conundrum of: (1) staying in the "Demo" mode or (2) getting the message that sonar has STOPPED? In advance, thanks for the assistance. Dan
