  12. I've never done that much topwater fishing but i've been hearing how fun it is to see them strike so i bought some topwater lures when i was at bass pro shops a couple of weeks ago in florida including some hula poppers. Went out saturday at sunset lake in greenfield hoping to test them out but was having too much fun on 6" watermelon seed lizards so i didn't get a chance too, this saturday i'll test them out though. No problem glad it worked out for you. I must admit I love seeing those bass come up and explode on top water too...
  13. I was just wondering if we were going to have a southern nh fishing get together/tourney this year, i remember seeing this brought up before but haven't heard anything on it in a while i would definately be in if we had one.
  14. keep up the good work cheaaa and bassmirker its good to hear baboosic is producing for you guys. I'll have to try it again this year have barely been there this year i dont know why though. if you guys have a canoe or boat i could show u a good cove in that lake it produced good last year for me assuming its still good. keep us posted on baboosic.
  15. baboosic was a pretty good to me last year but haven't fished it much this year. Right off the docks are good last year in one day i got a 17 inch and a 19 inch (didn't have a scale) right under the docks off the beach, the one in my pic is the bigger of the two. Def. good times there last year. I was having luck last year carolina rigging 6" lizards but haven't fished it really this year so idk. Keep me posted if u fish there again i'll have to go there sometime soon.
  16. Silly question but what do u guys use for knots that are strong im tired of losing fish due to my knots breaking i dont know how many i lost due to that yesterday. thanks
  17. Hey guys went fishing yesterday for the first time in a month or so. Went to Sunset lake and the fishing was pretty good. A bunch of largemouths and a few smallmouths, the fish were mostly a decent size but nothing too big.
  18. hey wagn what pond was that in new boston? has anyone ever fish lake Skatutakee in harrisville im going to fish it sometime soon for pike any suggestions???
  19. thanks i'll keep you posted
  20. thanks pain but how do you know where spawning flats are? i fished the reservoir in wilton friday didn't get anything but i could see some decent sized largemouth in real shallow but they wouldn't bite anything there were some other people there in a canoe and they said they caught a few biggest around 2 lbs. Welcome aboard wagn, join in or feel free to report whats going on for fishing in your part of the state. baboosicbass08 Lizards would definitely work althought I think it might be a tad early for Carolina Rigs. If I were you Id get a 6in green pumpkin lizard Texas rig it with a 1/8-1/4oz bullet head sinker and fish that around spawning flats, and on the first dropoff from those spawning flats. I think the Bass are either in the process of spawning now or are already done in most waters in the state, especially in the southern part where I am. Hope that helps, lemme know how you do.
  21. excellent bassmaster thats a big fish. so pain you said you were catching fish on plastics so do you think i could start catching them on lizards carolina rigged? i haven't bass fished in a while cause i kept getting skunked so i've been heavily trout fishing the souhegan in wilton, but if i can get them on the carolina then its back to bass. Wow good work Bassmaster6! I was out yesterday for a few hours after work. I caught all my fish in 4ft or shallower. I saw signs of beds but no fish on them, I think they were just fanning. I pulled a few LMs off of some shallow docks and one 3lb SM cruising a shallow flat. All the fish came on soft plastics texas rigged with a 1/8oz weight. I also this week fished Mass water for the first time. I fished Flints pond in Tyngsboro. I had a decent one on but didnt get a good hookset on him, he ended up coming unbuttoned at the boat. This was an after work trip in my friends boat. I ended up getting some on jigs and a floating jerkbait. The Crappie were hiting the Floating Jerkbait as well which was kinda cool because I dont get to see much of them were I fish unless I get them in Canobie. Well keep up the good work guys, how is everyone else doing?
  22. what do u guys recommend for big bass, because i've been fishing baboosic but just catching sunfish but theres a certain cove there where when i catch the sunfish and begin reeling in theres always a huge bass that goes for them when i reel them in, but i can never get him to bite on anything but my fish i reel in,lol, this happened before when i got the bass in my pic, but i can't remember for the life of me what i got him on cause i was using everything to get that fish.
  23. thanks for the advise walkingboss on the depthfinder. so you are catching them on spinnerbaits pain? what are you using for them like colorwise??? i'm hoping to get out to the reservoir in wilton this week and hopefully baboosic, will keep you guys posted
  24. hey guys thanks for the tips, i've been fishing from a canoe but don't have a depth finder. i'll just keep trying until it gets warmer then i'll start catching them in the coves and from shore like i did last year. thanks again.
  25. Wow! Great job lPa1nl man 61, i'd settle for 1 i've yet to catch a single bass so far and i've been trying everything. keep up the good work.
