  1. thanks guys i will be in touch when i get the money to buy the boat, and i will definately be modding it because thats not bad at all for the price especially since i'll be splitting it three ways with friends. Congrats on finishing tyler
  2. I just noticed all the posts of ppl modding there jon boats into bass boats and it really looks like a fun project, me and a couple friends were thinking of building a boat from scratch (or trying too...lol) but now that i've seen these it seems more reasonable for us to buy a jon boat and mod it. So what i'm trying to get at is how much do u think it would cost roughly not gonna hold you to the cost lol, but how much it would cost to add a deck to the front section of the boat and to the back and to do the floors so they are flat, it would probably be a 12' boat, and also how much it would cost to paint it and if anyones done the carpeting how much that would be too. thanks guys, Dave
  3. Someone just emailed me this link, never would have thought of using a remote control boat while fishing, check it out: http://s158.photobucket.com/albums/t109/Chrizzby/?action=view&current=fishing_boat.flv
  4. I think it would be an excellent idea man wish they did it at my school when i still had time before graduation. Idk if there would be enough people that would be interested but it sounds like a good idea, why not if schools can have a math team why can't they have a fishing team???
  5. Well this should cheer some of you guys up. I wasn't around for the predictions but this year sucked for me as well didn't catch anything over 3 lbs or even anything 3 lbs haha. And my pb is 3 lbs so for all you who didn't get ur 9 or 10 lber well at least you got something good, but 08 is gonna be my year to shine. hahah. gonna break the 3 lb mark hahaha i know the bars not set high but what can i do.
  6. Hmm 08 pb would have to be the fish in fish chris' avatar ;D ;D ;D. But seeing how i live in nh 5 lber would do the trick for a pb.
  7. Ok, Baboosic lake was the lake that really got me hooked to fishing, I fished that lake basically everyday that year i got hooked and always had awesome days on that lake. And 088 meaning 2008 is when i graduate from high school
  8. Ya ur not the only one that saw it lol. That was pretty crazy, did u see the person that said her cousin was eaten by a catfish... And the musky jaws they found that were potential record breakers. I love that show, the swamp beast one airs tonight at 10 i believe
  9. Love Jackass but i think they could do the same stunts they do with pants on hahaha ;D ;D ;D

  13. Merry Christmas Guys!!! Thanks for all the work you put in to giving us a great place like this to communicate with one another Happy Holidays -Dave
  14. hmmm... thats another idea but i don't know how much weight they'd be able to hold, but it is a possibility.
  15. ya thats what worked for us and the boats are pretty much the same just a different name. http://www.funtimeinflatables.com/Products/Boats/seahawk400.htm Anyways i would try that if i were you, it worked for us. Good Luck.
  16. Try this, this worked for my friends inflatable. He cut a piece of wood long enough to clamp the trolling motor to and using the rope that runs around the boat, rigged it so it stayed up, so on the back of the boat, rest the board on the back, clamp the trolling motor to it, and tie it up with the rope. kinda confusing but it works. -Dave
  17. Ok so me and some friends have found something to do until we can get on the water again..... build a boat. We are thinking of getting some 55 gallon drums and using those for the bottom then building supports on the drums, then building up from there. Someone from my school has actually done this before so I will be talking to him soon about it, but I was wondering if you guys had any ideas for this. Its going to be roomy enough to walk around on and will be quite the upgrade from the inflatable we have been fishing from if this works ;D. I will be posting pics once we get moving with this and will be sure to send some reports when its finished. Its gonna cost some money but it will be worth it. So if anyone has any ideas for us they would be appreciated, also if anyone has any 55 gal drums we'd be willing to purchase them from you. -Dave
  18. ok we're thinking about somewhere in canada or champlain, we'd be getting a guide for the first day or two regardless of where we go, but we would still like to hear any ideas of any other places u guys can think of... We were kind of looking for a place we could rent on the lake we stay at too.
  19. Ya i spoke with my buddy tonight. It would be freshwater we're looking for and we'd be driving there. As far as budget umm im not too sure i mean not too much but not the cheapest, sorry i no its not much help...haha. Canada and champlain are some possibilities we're narrowing down from but anyother ideas on places would be appreciated. And yes we'll be getting a guide for at least the first day. Thanks for the help guys.... I will be doing some followups on this to let u guys no whats going on. thanks again
  20. Ya i'd check into all of that first. And man this Canada idea is sounding better and better hahah forgot all about that lol, ya id do it safe thanks though
  21. I would say beginner but not totally stupid i guess lol. we started fishing heavily last year, but i have been fishing for as long as i can remember but just not too seriously i suppose. I will definately do some research on that robby i'd heard canada's great for that but idk why i never thought of canada when we were talking about it, thanks for the tip.
  22. Ok guys me and a buddy of mine were thinking of what to do this summer as its is my senior year of high school right now and i will be going to college and we decided on a fishing trip. We aren't really sure of where we want to go. Not too sure of what we want to try and catch either, something big and that fights lol.... seen how we haven't really caught anything too big yet. So i guess im just looking on suggestions from you guys on anywhere u guys have in mind that is good fishing, if we should get a guide or what... AS far as location im not too concerned with that we're willing to travel the distance, we live in nh by the way, but it doesnt have to be in new hampshire. So any suggestions would be appreciated thanks guys. -Dave
