Anyone in central Kentucky want to go fishing? None of my friends these days like to fish so I'm just out here by my self. I don't really have any good spots near me but ill travel and help out with gas/money ect.

I have fished for smallies in creeks most of my life. I don't think id have too much trouble figuring them out I just need to find them and do it safely. These threads though are pretty nice to have. I wish I had just joined a lot sooner instead of just peeking on here once in a blue moon.

I am tasked with taking my buddy fishing in Blacksburg, VA where he lives. I know its a smallmouth river but I was wondering how to fish it and where to go. I have heard of people wading it. Just any thoughts on the situation will be helpful thanks for reading.

I bought so much JDM tackle this year its not even funny anymore. the only thing that prohibits me is color choice lol.

I collect any and all Carl memes that I see and its the only thing I could find that was small enough for my pic lol.

Its mainly weight and balance. It does its job as a versatile combo very well but I feel like I'm not as accurate as I am with my other combos.

I have had my DC reel for about 5 months now and I have it on an ALX Solo Deputy with 17lb fluoro. I does it job very well but I just think its on the heavy side especially when I switch to my Tatula CT Type R or Zillion. I want something that performs like that but lighter. Maybe its the rod that is making it feel heavy. Any thoughts would help, thanks.

This is my new to me JDM Zillion 16 SV TW 9.1. I gave it some green hedgehog studio knob caps to go with new bearings and cork RCS knobs. Literally a dream reel to own and I'm so happy I pulled the trigger on it.

I use 30 lb power pro to 17 lb flouro and 3/8 oz jigs or less.

I have had 7'3 and 7'6 stuff in the past but I don't feel like I have the control that I want or the room to cast next to and around trees.

Do you happen to know the difference between the Gabes Rip Rap Special and a normal 7MH? What is the tip like? Im interested to see if there would be a rod sensitive enough for jigs as well. The 200 max comes into play here. Most of the things I fish are brush/laydowns and cat tails.

IM trying to find a shorter sized frog rod. Im not very tall and would like anything over 7' and under to throw frogs from the bank. Budget under 200 but looking for 150ish really.

I have tried them but they don't hook up very well for my unfortunately. The rubber skirts on the old ones have all rotted away too.

Does anyone in Eastern Kentucky know any more information on the Burns Buzzer buzz bait? My dad has a few and they are super fun topwaters to throw but they haven’t been made in decades. I don’t want to risk losing the ones he has. If anyone has any they would let go I’d love to get my hands on them.
