Hi, wanted to get some feedback if anyone has experience with this reel, specifically a Garcia Kingfisher GK-26. I’ve had it sitting on the workbench for a while, just never had a rod to pair with it but I’m thinking about making it a catfishing rig and I’m not sure about durability, drag, corrosion resistance, etc.. I’d be using it for freshwater only. Any info or advice would be appreciated!

I tested this and it is true, when the lever is flipped to "F" you hold the thumb bar down as you cast instead of just depressing it and when the lure hits the water you release the thumb bar so free spool disengages. Why is this not still present on modern baitcasters???

I just bought a Shimano Bantam Coriolis co-100 from eBay and I cannot find the right owners manual online. There is a lever next to the spool tension knob and I have no idea what it does.
