  1. gotcha thanks for the info, I appreciate it!
  2. I bought a used huddleston and it doesnt have too much paint let on the lure, kinda just showing the clear plastic towards the tail. Does it still work and produce in clear water scenarios or am i better off just buying a new one with all the paint on the lure.
  3. thanks for the tips, ill try to learn the san diego jam knot this week
  4. Im using 12 lb seagur red label with 3/0 gamakatsu EWG
  5. I use a 3/8 oz Tungsten on a t-rig tied with a palomar knot with a rage bug on the end. I do pretty good with it but recently I keep getting snapped off when I set the hook. It occured when I switched to swagger tungsten but im not sure if thats the issue. Another problem that I think is causing this is when I jig the T-rig, the tungsten hits the knot and hook. I tend to do much better when it makes those sounds but I just get broken off when I set the hook. I tried covering the knot with the soft plastic and I just didnt get bit. Is there anyway to make that clicking sound when the tungsten hits the hook without damaging the knot? Thanks in advance
  6. yeah theres this 1 spot but its heavily targetted and kinda shallow, i rarely catch anything there and they are mostly dinks
  7. thanks I appreciate it. Ive been trying to get into jigs more but ive never had any luck so far, tend to have better luck on the t-rig
  8. i dont think my lake has any of those
  9. i have 1 swimjig but im not sure i that'll work
  10. I’ve never had any luck with top water cause it drops off pretty fast but I’ll give it a shot, thanks for the tip
  11. The next few days its going to be overcast/raining. Ive never fished this weather alot but I did pretty good on a dropshot recently but that was when it was sunny. Its been pretty warm this week (around 90's). I fish the lake from shore, it has patches of submerged grass and drops off pretty fast, it is decently clear as well. I dont think the lake has alot of shad or baitfish, I rarely see the bass blowing up and if they do its more like 1 blowup every 5 minutes. Any reccomendations of lures or techniques? Thanks in advance.
  12. I dont fish the dropshot too often but recently ive been using it and have really been enjoying it. I usually fish a 8 inch leader but I havent tried out a longer leader yet. I havea 16 inch leader tied on ready to fish tommorow but Im not sure if thats too long. I fish from shore and the water is pretty clear, It has a decent amount of submerged grass patches but the place I fish has more rocks in the area and I snag pretty often
  13. For a size 2 mosquito hook dropshot, should I pick up a 3.5 or 4.5 inch. I usually fish a 4.5 inch roboworm but the smallie smasher has a bigger profile
  14. Im deciding to pick up a sleeper gill, I tried the glitter wild gill and only got one bite on it, I set the hook and the tail ripped. Would the noike gill look more natural since smaller bluegill seem to look more light and less colors, any tips are appreciated.
  15. My braid that I use on a spinning rod for dropshot is recently getting twisted alot and i cant get it really straight, is there a reason why it happens? Its not affecting anything but it looks kinda wierd
