  2. good morning, garcia 5000 hands down, ;D, you will train your thumb, and they last a long, long time....i've had one for years and use it every time i go fishing...currently have it spooled with 30# braid for carolina rigs.... around $50 bucks ....wally world... good catching, bluebonnet2

  4. good morning, thanks guys, no harm was meant and a big shout out for bassresource..... no flames here good catching, bluebonnet2
  5. glenn, i'm in no way associated with them. i just thought some one might be interested in their products. The rods they sent to me are of better quality than other stuff on the market and for the buck, i think its a good deal. The reel might be the same...i don't know...i am not a professional fisherman or sponsored by anyone, just a weekend guy having fun when i get a chance to fish...most of the information i have about acadia comes from a buddy at work and he is a weekend fisherman and is the one that told me about this site a while back....i don't know who they sponsor or send free stuff to test. i just know most guys look for good deals, clearance pricing, discounts, etc. i just ordered and recieved skip-n-pop baits and the guy sent me an extra 4 white baits with the order, i did not order or solicit the "free" baits. i am grateful and will try these monday on caddo, if it don't rain.... most people who start up a business struggle a lot the first couple of years and some never make it successfully pay off...i sure you folks had the same problems and it takes a lot of courage to do this... you probably won't get a medal for try to make this a great website....keep up the good work... i remember a guy who quit college a few years back and started building computers in his garage, his name is michael dell... good catching, bluebonnet2 P.S. you are welcome to PM me at any time...
  6. good evening, no i don't work for them...i just thought some people might be interested!!!!! i think a lot of people who post here must be johnny morris's cousins ;D...some people might like a $70 reel...and i don't live next door either... after all, it is an open forum...get over it.... flaming someone will get you nowhere.... good catching, bluebonnet2
  7. good morning, acadia has their new bait caster available(8/31).....low profile, lightweight(9.8 oz.), 11 bearings, aluminum body....and lifetime warranty....under $70....will order one later in the month of august... i really am impressed with their f series rods.... good catching, bluebonnet2
  8. good evening, well, i got the two rods and put a david fritts DF10HC/17#mono on both(6-6, 7), and i was very impressed with the sensitivity and casting properties for the buck..... fit and finish , very nice, as good as some $150+ rods....may try the "p" series later in the year..customer service was excellent...arrived in two working days via USPS.... i bet these are made in a factory right along the high priced ones(china) maybe i got my $60 worth, will let you know after the summer.... good catching, bluebonnet2
  9. good morning, when you make your own CR, do you use a bead or not? have seen different opinions... i may make a couple both ways.... thanks for the input... good catching, bluebonnet2
  10. good evening, picked up my rods this morning at the post office...nicely packaged......got home and i have an old utility reel with 12 lb. mono, so i put it on the 6' 6 mh with 3/8 practice plug. in about 10 casts, avg was approx 30 yds, so i rigged a wave worm(tiki 5") with a gamma 4/0 ewg(no weight) 10 cast..avg 25 yds...will try the 7' in the morning with a different reel and a jig....this is NOT a professional test!! now the rods, fugi thru handle, bright blue(epoxy coated) fully wrapped guides, very good cork handle... may not be a bad rod for the buck....will give 'em a good workout mon. or tues on caddo... good catching, bluebonnet2
  11. good afternoon, i had an e mail from a friend that stated the above mentioned web site had "just aquired" them as a sponsor, however, i don't know the back ground of the web site...i do know most web site can't make it with out some help...its very expensive....i'm looking at an ad for hookmupworldwide.com now....most fishing sites have a ton of ads and popups....i'm glad my dsl server includes blocker in their pkg. BTW, all is said was i was going to try 'em....what the hxxl, its only $60 with shipping and tax and i do have a few lighting rods from wally world ;D ;D ;D good catching to all, bluebonnet2 FWIW i went to town last night, had a rib eye, baked pot. steamed veggies, tea.....$29....could a had a couple of rods....pass the 57 sauce!!
