  1. I could, but I have so many already!! I will be busy I am sure. Wife and I should be closing on our very first house very soon!!!
  2. We were, and I know some still need more rain, I guess I am being selfish. It will be nice to fish a full lake for the remainder of the year. This will be the second year in a row I am unable to fish the spawn. Last year it was too windy.
  3. Morning....no coffee either.....ultra light tackle....nothing over 4lb test. Presentation would have to be flipping grass with a rage craw. 10 keeper sized fish with at least one over 7lbs would do nicely.
  4. All this rain has caused Lake Waco to rise 11 feet above normal!!! Thats what they are expecting anyway. Was 7 feet above yesterday. All ramps are closed and the ACOE said for at least a month! What the heck am I supposed to do now? I mean I can drive to another lake but I can't do it often. Probably can't even get to my buddies ponds because I have to drive through a pasture that is surely flooded and I don't have 4x4. Ok rant over!! Cliff
  5. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001BAKM60/?tag=googhydr-20&hvadid=10893422407&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1057833650828416393&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&ref=pd_sl_8ck8w35y93_e Splice into your TM wires then just twist the handle to the speed you want. When you step on the switch you go, step off and you stop!!
  6. Not the case in Texas. Game warden told me I have to have all the same lights as a "big boat" on my 8' Pelican. Plus a whistle or horn! He let me off the hook with a warning though.
  7. A rudder is easily made, especially if you have access to a welder. If you look back in this thread I think I showed pictures of mine and explained how I made it.
  8. Flippin a jig or a "creature" bait has produced my biggest fish.
  9. I spliced my TM wires. I used I think 6 or 8 gauge wire from home depot. I made the splice with a gurney nut. (I think thats what its called. a little aluminum deal with two screws. stuff the ends of both wires in and tighten the nuts down.) I then shrink wrapped each splice, then electrical tape, then liquid electrical tape, then a layer of rubber tape that I got from the roofer guys at work. My wiring has sat for days submerged in water and I have never had a single problem with it in almost four years now. You also have to turn the head of the TM around if you run it on the front. It is a single nut and bolt right below the head. Remove it, spin the head a half turn and put the bolt back in. If your using a TM that you just steer with your hand manually, I highly recommend a "Big Foot" switch. Here is a link. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001BAKM60/?tag=googhydr-20&hvadid=10893422407&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1057833650828416393&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&ref=pd_sl_8ck8w35y93_e Good luck. Cliff

  12. I am going on my 4th week without soda. Don't even miss it too much. I have lost some weight too, but I also started a workout/nutrition plan.
  13. I'd make that drive anytime!! I will be putting this bait through the ringer this year for sure!
  14. Sorry I am not at liberty to say what the bait is that I caught this fish on, as well as several more between me and my buddy. (y'all are gonna like it!!)This was at a couple small ponds, we also went to the lake and my buddy caught one about 2.5-3lbs on the same bait. This fish in the pic went 4-9lbs on my scale.
  15. Sweet, shoot us some pics when you get it!
  16. I use Megastrike. I don't know if it makes a difference but it makes me feel better.
  17. Can I upgrade the hook without hurting the action of the bait?
  18. Does anyone have any experience with this bait? I got one from a Lunkerville contest and was hoping to get some tips on fishing it. It is pretty small and is a sinking version, 1 foot per second. Any info is much appreciated!! Cliff
