  1. I have 2 spinning setups for the finesse stuff. Could definitely upgrade them though. That will be next after adding 2 more casting setups.
  2. So, currently I'm running braid to fluoro on all my casting equipment because I tend to have fewer issues with backlash when compared to straight fluoro. (I know, I need to get better with my thumb). What are your thoughts? Will I loose some fish on trebles (using walmart Medium power Garcia rod) by using this setup that stretches less or will the lighter rod have enough give to make up for it? I know I'm overthinking and I should just go put a line in the water since I'm pretty green with bass fishing but I'm obsessive and want to make sure I don't give the fish any advantage as they have already proven that they are smarter than me!!? Thanks in advance for your input!
  3. I tried to get it but Midway doesn't accept paypal and thats the only way I can hide the purchase from my wife!!? That rod would be perfect. I could probably throw frogs into the really this stuff with that rod too!
  4. I'm in the market to add two setups. Is there another you'd definitely recommend? Also I found a BOGO on 7'5' H/EF Shimno SLXs. That's a great deal and for the savings would those work to give me 2 flipping setups and then get a 3rd setup with part of the money I'm saving? Thanks!
  5. Uh oh. I found a deal on Shimano SLX 7'5 Heavy extra Fast BOGO. Since that's such a great deal will that work and I'll have 2 flipping setups? Sorry to inundate the threat
  6. Also, is it worth it at this point to get the cranking rod? Would you definitely get a flipping setup to add? I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thanks!!!
  7. Hey guys! I'm a rather new bass fisherman. Been fishing on and off for fun in ponds since childhood but recently got a new to me boat and I'm out chasing bass now. I have 3 casting setups currently: 7:2:1 on a 7' Medium Heavy - Fast 7:5:1 on a 7' Medium Heavy - Fast 6:4:1 on a 7' Medium (basic Garcia rod from Walmart and doesn't state action) I'm using the two MHs for all purpose single hooked baits for the most part and I'm trying to throw my treble hook baits on the Medium. I am planning to add two more setups to my arsenal. I was thinking of a flipping stick with fast reel and dedicated crankbait rod with a lower gear ratio reel. My question is: Should I go with a MH cranking rod or M? If you have any insight or suggestions on what two setups to add it would be greatly appreciated.
