My son in law fishes Bass tournaments and won a Bass TBF Federation tournament. Nice to be able to pick his brain, especially about Bass fishing. But I still enjoy certain Youtube fishing channels and pick up a few common sense things from them, but never take what they say as absolute gospel.

At least two. If bass aren't biting I want something rigged for panfish. Tackle is in my backpack so I can carry both rods in one hand and have the other hand free to help me climb up banks and such. I did get angry at myself last time out as I realized later I laid my spinning reel on a sandy bank and it got sand all over the spool. Will be more careful where I set it down the next time.
