Best keitech easy shiner jighead
Keitech super rounds were basically made for these. 1/8oz comes in 1/0, 2/0, and 3/0. I go 2/0 or 3/0 for the 4", and have been liking the 3.5" with the 1/0 lately as well.

Fury 705CB redundant to Tatula 7' M/R?
Agreed, the thing that pushed me to send it back was I think I'd like to try something glass/composite for a 7' range shallow crank rod next so that the overlap isn't perfect, and I don't own anything with glass at the moment.

Fury 705CB redundant to Tatula 7' M/R?
Possibly, but I already have 2 maybe even 3 rods that do spinnerbaits and chatterbaits well, including 1 I just bought with that focus in mind. This was the only thing my bait monkey addict mind could come up with. There are times of year where I like to use both jerkbaits and lipless (early and late season), and sometimes they seem to be the only presentations getting bit so having both tied on and ready could be nice. All that said, I decided to send it back, but I appreciate the input (enablers, the lot of you!).

Fury 705CB redundant to Tatula 7' M/R?
I ordered a Fury 735C but received a Fury 705CB by mistake (on their part). I already have an OG Tatula 701MRB that's used for jerkbaits, 1/4oz and 1/2oz red eye shads, traps, and KVD 1.5 squarebills. Will the 705CB do any of those things better? I have my doubts and am planning to send it back but figured I'd ask the hive mind for any insights first.

What line would you use?
Got a few new rods and reels with recent sales, wondering how you would fill these out (brand and lb test included please): Dobyns Fury 735c w/ Curado 200 K 8.5:1 for frogs, heavy jigs in heavy cover, etc. (thinking 50lb straight braid?) Tatula Elite 7'3 MH/F w/ Curado 200 K 7.4:1 for bottom contact, maybe some spinnerbait/chatterbait use (thinking 15-20lb straight fluoro?) Aird-X 7'0 MH/F w/ Tatula CT 7.1:1 for spinnerbait/chatterbait, maybe some whopper plopper/lipless/squarebill (thinking 15-20lb straight fluoro?) Will a single 200yd spool of fluoro fill both those reels w/ no backing for those lb tests? I'm willing to get Tatsu or Sniper FC if it's worth it. Are those also soft enough to use without conditioner?

2 MH casting rods recommendation
I actually discovered these in my searches but rarely see them recommended. Seems like these compete with Daiwa's own tatula elites but might be the better value. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I don't think any of those used options are really "calling to me" at those prices, but I appreciate the nonetheless. They also have a used 7'3 MHF Tatula Elite that I nearly pulled the trigger on last night, but I think the regular Tatula would be just fine for my needs and can be had significantly cheaper when on sale. Some of your posts on that Mojo MHMF are part of the reason I'm convinced that it is a particularly excellent model even among the already good Mojo casting lineup. Do you still have the Zillion SV paired to it?

Well, the Mojo Bass rods are $120 at Bass Pro, Cabela's, and Scheels right now. Interestingly, though, I was snooping around ALF and picked up a couple Curado Ks for $150, and there is a discount on Dobyns Furys that's not being advertised, so I picked up a 735c for $104. One Curado will go on that rod (8.5:1) and one will go on this MHF rod (7.4:1). Thanks for the lead.

I should've been more specific; when I said "I have access to a few ponds and river banks by car", I meant that I can take longer 1-piece rods (up to 8').

Good to know. I actually don't mind a thicker handle since I've got big mitts but am likely going to wait another month regardless to see what discounts are ahead. I am probably getting a Fury 735c at some point for heavier duties, but I think you're right that for this purpose a Tatula or Tharp (or Sierra 734c or Tatula elite or Essence if I'm willing to push the budget) would probably be a better choice. I'm surprised to see the Kaden recommended, and also that you're saying the Sierra 734 is a moving bait/treble hook choice. After reading a little, is that just because the Kaden has a slightly faster action? I was under the impression that the Sierra 734 could do all of the above tasks quite capably.

As an update, I ordered a 7' Mojo Bass "Spinnerbait" MH/MF on sale, but am still not totally decided on a $100-150 MH/F. Thinking Dobyns Sierra 734c would be ideal if I can get any kind of deal in the next few months, or possibly a Tatula 7'3 MH/F. The equivalent Ark Tharp or maybe the Zodias 7'2 MH or the Falcon Lowrider All 'rounder fast have me interested as well. Other similar suggestions are welcome.

Good to know, thanks. The Victory is still a bit outta my price range but if the right sale deal comes up in the next few months I may jump on it. I saw these as well and they seem to fit that MH/F all-around role really well. Idk how often JDM stuff goes on sale, if ever, but I'll keep an eye out. By "mid-weight" I really meant t-rig and jig weights that my M/F spinning rod can't handle (weightless up to 1/8oz) but not frog rod type power (>3/8oz) required either.

Nice, I will absolutely pick up that 2-piece Aird-x in addition to the rods above because why not at that price, and having another bike-to-the-bank option is nice. Thanks for the tip.

Dang, this is tempting, but I'd rather spend $100 more on something that I don't see mixed or bad reviews on as much as I do the 13 Fishing stuff.

Thanks for that input. I think I would add a 7'3-7'4" HF broomstick at some point before next summer since (as you know) we have a lot of pads in our ponds up here and frog fishing is fun. So I think something like the Marshall would better fit the bill in the long term. That said, while the Mojo Spinnerbait rod is somewhat unique and unrivaled, there are a lot of good 7'3"-ish MHF rods and I would kind of like to branch out from an all Mojo Bass lineup.
