  2. Brand new Daiwa certate makes noise when reeling

    My 2024 Daiwa certate 5000 xh ark has the same rubbing noise, but mine, the rubbing sound stays even if i take the spool off, I tested with the exact same model at the local shop and mine still has the rubbing sound/noise, I contacted Daiwa Australia, but they said it’s normal, and they can almost guarantee the reel is just fine, but i just find it stressful that my brand new reel has the rubbing sound specially when it’s quite expensive, I would probably send it back to daiwa for an assessment though, but i’m afraid that they will not do anything about it.
