  1. Hard to predict high water and temps 10+ degrees lower than the average. Such is fishing. Some will always have a reason to. Everyone is faced with the same conditions and the fishing isn’t that bad. There is nothing wrong with what they are doing. Those guys found the spot. It’s no different than establishing a rotation in a community hole.
  2. I find it actually incredibly interesting.
  3. Yeah they are cooperating too. They did that all yesterday. You want to go fast go alone, you want to go far, go together.
  4. Who is the third guy in the studio? I have seen him in other fishing media before but I can’t remember his name.
  5. Scott Martin is a stand up guy. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGlaERMO4si/?igsh=MWN0c3BvZ2lxdXR1cQ==
  6. easiest way to win that is to get skunked:)
  7. Bassguess Paul Mueller one of my CT boys with a nice 19lb bag.
  8. I'm hoping basstrakk has some surprises.
  9. Why are they doing that?
  10. Everything I have read is that the historically high water inhibits vegetation growth because the the light can’t penetrate as well, but who knows. .
  11. I hope he is throwing swimbaits. McKinney is leading. Gross.
  12. It wasn’t against the rules when they were doing it.
  13. It’s the 10th biggest lake in America but there will be boats crowded in 4 or so community holes. I guess the lack of vegetation is due to high water?
  14. I just finally listened to Bass After Dark. I’m actually really digging it. Lots of good episodes to catch up on. Also it’s not all about tournament fishing. I like how they do a deep dive on a very narrow or specific topic. BTL seems pretty smart and I listen to most of those. If someone interesting is on Mercer or Low Budget Live I will listen.
  15. I don't understand the rule. I watched Logan Parks' YouTube channel once and in the one episode I bothered he was rooming with John Garrett and Robert Gee and maybe some others and they were all sharing notes during either Champlain or St. Lawrence. Can they share amongst competitors but not the outside?
  16. Yeah I was just trying to moderate my take. But you may not be wrong. At what point should these guys completely sequester themselves? This is a crazy high standard.
  17. He was rigging his boat and some rando walked up him and gave him info. He says in the article that didn't cut him off soon enough so he self reported. I was actually looking forward to seeing how he would do. This diminished event a little in my opinion.
  18. Drama. Tons of ice melted here last night. I'm going fishing this weekend. Now I have to fix my fantasy lineup. Self reported. Seems like the rule is sensible but the penalty is overkill. Why can't they just put him in a penalty box or apply a weight penalty? https://www.bassmaster.com/elite/news/scott-martin-disqualified-from-okeechobee-elite/
  19. Yeah I found that article last summer and I hit most of those lakes. I have had the best luck with Wipers in Maysville. They can come in pretty close so I think I might try to get some on a fly rod this season.
  20. I had a great fall with "The Mayor" from Crush City.
  21. With my brother; a week in New Zealand on the south island chasing trout during the mouse hatch. Or in Mongolia chasing Taimen.
  22. Walleye seem easier to catch. Plus those guys use live bait. As if they can talk lol.
  23. I thought about Rivet but I looked up his win there and he found some unpressured in the river and it that’s not likely to happen again.
  24. Not really. I think he just has some really high expectations after college and the tear he was on qualifying last year.
  25. He did well at Okeechobee last year. Might have a good shot for a bounce back. I happened to see his weigh in on Friday. Looked like a whipped puppy.
