  1. Thanks for the reply’s guys. I’ll look into a stand alone battery for my livescope unit. That’s how have it set up now, I’m just running a small 18ah battery that only lasts about 5-6 hrs and I’m constantly taking it in and out of the boat to charge. I’ll look into a 50ah for my graphs and just upgrade to a 4 bank charger instead of the 3 bank I have now Why would it not be advisable to run my shallow water anchors off the TM batteries?
  2. I recently upgraded my trolling motor to lithium batteries. I’m running 2 12v 100ah units for it and I also run my power poles off those batteries, 1 power pole per battery. Would it be recommended to run my livescope unit and black box off of those batteries as well? Say maybe the unit to 1 battery and the black box to the other? Or should I stay with a standalone battery for the livescope system?
  3. Anyone tried the new Berkeley ginclear line yet? Just wondering what the reviews are on it so far. Seems like a fairly priced fluorocarbon, just hopefully it isn’t like the old vanish line
  4. What’s everyone’s preference/experience with more budget friendly lithium batteries for trolling motors? I’ve been looking at Litime, powerqueen, and goldenmate. Anyone have any input or suggestions?
  5. That’s what I was thinking
  6. Anyone know why buddy gross don’t weigh in? I was expecting him to do well. And John cox with -1lb
  7. I didn’t say cheap, I said affordable. I don’t wanna spend $1-2k on a technique specific combo. I’d like to keep it in the $500 range
  8. Agreed it is boring but it catches fish. I tournament fish a lot and I’m tied of getting my teeth kicked in by it. How’s that saying go….if you can’t beat them join them? That’s where I’m at Thank you @Reel and @casts_by_fly for the very helpful info. I have been looking at the intenza and zodias model tbh. I’ve been using a 7’ m slx for the little I’ve dabbled with a minnow and it jut doesn’t do it for me. What minnows do yall prefer to throw? I hear everyone talk about the sakamata shad but they seem impossible to get
  9. I would say I will be 15-20 fow or less. Most likely an 1/8th oz head with a 3-4” bait
  10. What’s your favorite minnow shaking setup? Looking for something that’s affordable and won’t break the bank. I’m gonna force myself to learn this ffs minnow shaking deal so I figure I might as well start out with a setup that suits those needs
  11. Where does each excel? Who has better mapping, who has better side/down imaging? I’m trying to rig my new boat and I’m trying to decide which direction to go. Boat is currently all Garmin (which I feel is best in the ffs/live world). If y’all had to pick units for each, which would you recommend?
  12. I’m looking at buying a new to me boat but I have heard horror stories about the yamaha hpdi motors being notoriously unreliable and loosing power heads randomly. I was looking for more input on them. Anyone have any firsthand experience, either good or bad?
  13. Man I’ve said very similar things about other baits. Like there’s no way they are setting down there saying “this jig doesn’t have enough blue in it so I’m not gonna bite it” or “man that really looks like a shad, but I wish it had a bit more green on the back. I’ll pass on that” So you think the popping style frogs walk better than the walking style frogs? I’ll have to try those. I’ve always gravitated towards a hard popper style bait when I wanted a popping bait and never really paid the popping frogs much attention
  14. I’ll try that and see how that works out. Thanks! Thank you for the info. I’ll try that out this weekend and see what happens
  15. I walk spook very well, like well above average I would say. I’ve always struggled to walk frog though. It seems to almost just hop in a straight line like it’s just cheat bumping across the water. I think what you said about slack is a big part of my issue
  16. What is the best walking frog on the market? Also any tips to help getting them to walk a little better?
