Fenwick Bass Rods
Hi everyone, has anyone tried out the latest Fenwick bass rods? I am so confused by their lineup once they updated them a couple of years ago. Their casting rod lure ratings are all over the place. You have some medium heavy rods rated at 1oz and other rated at 5/8oz. Same with their Heavy or Extra Heavy rods some are rated at 1.5oz and others at 3/4oz. 3/4oz for a Heavy? Their spinning rods are the same. I have a few of the older HMG and Eagle rods and I liked them, but I am really hesitant to try these. What are your thoughts on this?

New 2025 TATULA X TW 100 - any information?
From the interview video I watched of the Daiwa reps, it sounds like it is a Tatula 100 with a different spool and a little different frame.

New 2025 TATULA X TW 100 - any information?
I am actually pretty excited about the Tatula X. $150 and it looks like it has all the features of the Tatula TW 100. It would be nice to get 100 performance in a larger 150 size spool and not have to pay $200 for it. I guess I will have to wait for the specs to see how they differ other than spool and frame.

I saw they also have the Daiwa Aird 80 Casting Reel for $99 coming out.

New 2025 TATULA X TW 100 - any information?
I was browsing the Daiwa site and saw the new Tatula X coming out in July, which looks to be a replacement for Tatula CT. When I compared it to the Tatula TW 100, it looks like it has all of the same tech as the TW 100 except for the body design (more like the SV TW103) and a deeper spool, like the Elites. Anybody in the know about this reel? I am wondering if it might be a cheeper option than the Tatula TW 100, which I like quite a bit. https://daiwa.us/collections/baitcasting-reels/products/25-tatulxa-tw-100

First time buying braid…what am I going with?
I have used a lot of suffix 832 and Diawa J braid grand, both in 20lb. I use the crazy Alberto knot for leaders and haven't had any issues. I have tried to tie the FG many times and it's just more of a pain than it's worth.

Pike Waters
I enjoy catching the pike as they put up a good fight, but I enjoy catching everything when I go out to fish. I am not just a bass fisherman, I enjoy whatever my catch. I only target them in the one creek near my house where they are loaded with them.

Different Tatula Elites are they both legit?
I know it looks that way cast_by_fly, but the logo is on the spool twice in opposite directions. so it is just the position of the spool from reeling. If you reel you will see it once right side up and then upside down as you spin it.

Different Tatula Elites are they both legit?
Thanks twisted_metal, that makes me feel better. Just at that price, I was thinking I was somehow getting a counterfeit reel as I haven't seen that price on these reels anywhere else.

Eric 26, I did send an email to Daiwa after creating this post, so I am hoping they can clear it up.

Different Tatula Elites are they both legit?
Hello Everyone, I needed your help on this question about some reels I purchased. I purchased 2 Tatula Elites; they are supposed to be the same reel. The one on the left is from FishUSA and the other is from a seller on Amazon. I have examined the reels and box and the only differences I can spot between them is that the one from Amazon has the QR code on the bottom and the G-q vs J-h. stickers on the underside of the reel. The seller on Amazon was selling the Tatula Elite reels at a discount ($153 - $165). The box and packaging all look legit, do you think these are legit reels? Why would they have this QR code on them? Are they possibly from Japan? I did scan the code and it seems like it is a serial number.
